Clipboard Blueprints is indeed a crucial addition. I feel like I mostly use them just to quickly duplicate a one-off design!

Maybe they want modders to be able to define more specific types of gear wheels in the future. So that a modded engine recipe might require multitudes of pinions, spur gears, sprockets, etc. ;P

To do that, though, you need to stockpile enough stuff from that furnace to carry you through to after your science is there to make your own assemblers. You basically need: - 104 Iron plates - 34 Copper plates - 1 Wood - 37 Coal After that you can craft the furnace into a boiler. See this nice gui...

Thanks for your guides, I got the achievement yesterday with around 3 minutes (!) to spare.
It was extremely close but that moment I heard the silo's alarm was so relieving! :D :lol:
The Logistic Network Embargo achievement is a nice extra, too :P

I'm not familiar with OpenSUSE but it sounds like you have not setup sound mixing properly in ALSA. You'll need something like PulseAudio or dmix to hear sound from multiple applications at the same time. The interesting "sub"-idea here I think is that machines could have an optimal working temperature. Just like a car in real life needs time to warm up to be most efficient. This could affect not only efficiency but pollution as well (think particle filters in Diesels).

Steam Trading Cards would be a great addition at very little additional cost.
