I saw this game about a month ago, the fact that there is no mention of factorio as inspiration even though the models for almost all the objects in game are clones of Factorio makes me not want to donate.

Not particularly related to the question, but you're going to need much more than one light oil cracking plant. I currently am seeing a bottleneck in my oil processing at the sulfur production. Sulfuric acid requires 5 sulfur and takes 1 second, but sulfer is produced in units of 2 and also takes one full second. +1 I have been wondering why this isn't implemented. I don't think it should be it's own research. Electric mining drills, roboports, and power poles all do not require extra research just to see their range, it makes sense that we should be able to see how far the turrets activate at.

Why can't we fill barrels with stuff besides oil?
I want to be able to ship off lubricant, sulfuric acid, and other liquid products to my main factory. Why do we have a system set up for oil and not the very closely related products?
