The logistics system takes care of this. Have a couple of storage chests. Then you can drop excess into the trash slots. And when you need it, the bots will prioritize storage over passive providers. So if you need a locomotive at some point, you will get the one in storage first.

How to find lost parts ?
Hey guys,
i just stumbled over a dropped locomotive from earlier in the game. Looking at my inventory i have a single underground belt entrance (or exit). This feels like running around with one sock ....
How do you hunt down such dropped or missing items ? Do you leave them ? Shoot them ? Anybody ...

And i hoped for more and complex recipes, instead the plan seems to be streamlining and simplification.

I like the construction and planning part of the game, especially railworlds. There are more than enough shooting games out there for those who like it hard
Also, the settings allow for pretty thrilling setups where you're overrun before you can launch your first rocket. So, as far as i am concerned ...

Same problem after updating from 0.15.40, and with a new 0.16 install.

Re: Balance unequal belt lane speeds
Thoroughly designing the consumption is probably the solution.
The standard balancers don't solve the situation if one lanes jams because nobody has interest in the stuff on it and the other just rushes through ...

Re: Balance unequal belt lane speeds
Yes, problem is too hard a word :-)
It becomes visible when the belt is fed by a 2-car train that is unevenly unloaded then. More of a cosmetic "problem".
A T-balancer only switches sides, if you mean 1 or two splitters and joining again ? It keeps one lane from running empty afaik but doesn't ...

Balance unequal belt lane speeds
Hello,
has anyone a quick link to a solution to balance different belt lane speeds ?
Cheers
Edit: i mean the two lanes of a single belt. Thinking harder about this i realise that this probably a stupid question as the answer is "redesign the consumption" ...

Amazing news !

Looking forward to the changes on .15. I'd rather wait a bit longer and enjoy uninterrupted play.

Alarm sound and full assembler storage
Hello,
first: very nice game !
Two questions: In a video I heard the alarm sound when an attack occurred or a turret is engaged. I tried the settings but the sound does not play. Other sounds do. Is that a mod ?
And is there a mod or setting that assemblers and refineries fill their storage ...

Nice game, really. Has the complexity i always missed in games where you have to build something. But i am just a few hours into it, at the beginning of the learning curve.
I was lured here by a recommendation from players over in another game forum (Kerbal Space Program) ...
