Re: 1 belt red-green science production with balance
Well you can maximize the speed of production, but the ratios will keep the same. This is the concept of production that doesn't rely on splitters or assembler amount, the memory cell counts and keeps ratios.

1 belt red-green science production with balance
Simple way to balance production. 1belt_production.gif Sub-ingredients amount calculation: Max items = 198 Belt speed = 400 / 60 = 6.66.. items/sec 1 Green bottle = 6 sec / 0.75 speed = 8 sec 6.66 items/ sec * 8 sec = 53.33.. ingredients on the belt for 8 sec delay. Then ingredients are distributed ...

Re: JAFA Furnace setup
Hey, your setup is interesting. Here is another way to make it more compact: 70_el_furnance.gif But this build is viable only with energy efficiency modules. No speed, nor production modules. (2400 plates/ 60 sec) / ((1 plate / 3.5 sec) * (2 el. furnance speed)) = 70 furnances 70_el_furnance_red.gif...

Re: Balanced Ordering Service
I couldn't completely understand your build, but luckly came up with the same method to place it on the belt. As recipe is used 1 pulse generator(it could be based on clock or looped with autoreset when cycle ends with memory=0). Subtracting items from the belt with integer overflow. Smart_factory_p...

Re: Very early r/g science factories
I meant the one between the cable and green plants. You can probably get away with a yellow inserter there, but the long handed one surprised me. Also, doesn't the lower gear plant need an extra blue inserter to get enough plates input? Well there is an explanation actually. 1 copper needs every 0....

That solves the smart factory from chest(warehouse) with rate control. Very nice.

Re: Very early r/g science factories
more compact and balanced Why the long-handed inserters where normal inserters would work as well? Also, for 6 science assemblers, do you actually need the extra gear+cable? i had 2 belts from 1 side, you can place in line and use normal inserters from the other side, but it's just the way it is in...

Found this thread today: https://forums.factorio.com/viewtopic.php?f=80&t=19987 It should be very interesting for you. nvm it's just ideas and suggestions. That clock is made from the basic explanation of counters. I'm really happy to see more people that are eager to automate with combinators ...

Re: Compact tileable 1-belt unload station
As you can see, you don't need splitters to compress the belt. There are splitters at the top, that are balancing between belts, but it doesn't help to compress it. Top is Loading station(B), at the bottom are 2 Unloading stations (A). TopA has even balance for input and output inserters, BottomA ha...

Simple and dynamic belt compression counter
The idea is to track the compression rate of the belt in real-time. Details below the picture. Cons: Limited to full compressed belt. precise_tracker.jpg Belt pattern repeats every 9 cells and consists 32 items per side. Yellow belt = 800 items per min Red belt = 1600 items per min Blue belt = 2400 ...

It looks very attractive. I was trying to get rid from sub-ingredients as well. At the end I've managed to place on the belt only iron, copper and plastic. Here: 8gon_loop.gif I like how synchronized those builds work. Your build inspired me to make looped version. H4sIAAAAAAAA/61c7W6rOBB9lSq/wyqYL0...

Re: Adv. circuit "sphere"
I must say that only one reason for 4 inserters is just becouse it looks nice :D (well, maybe not so becouse its not fully symetric). However i dont like using stack inserters for fast operations between machines and belts (i use it for machine-machine tranports only). Stack inserters remains freez...

Yeah, more space for additional stations!LazyLoneLion wrote:Or you might just ignore all that circuitry and balancing and use cheap red belts. Re: Adv. circuit "sphere"
how copper cable production can keep up with so many boosted advanced circuits? Copper cable assembler has 4 affected beacons, but advanced circuits has dozens. 4 vs 5-6? Also It looks nice, but I think that 1 express belt input for 1 copper cable with 400% is more than enough. If you look at the b...
