Re: [MOD 0.15.x] NPUtils 2.25

Honestly I think this mod would be served a great deal if it was integrated into the tech tree. Right now it's a little overwhelming trying to figure out where to progress with things.

Re: [MOD 0.15.x] NPUtils 2.25

Wow this mod has changed A LOT since I last played. It almost seems like a completely new bus might be necessary with all the intermediate products it introduces. Could you maybe post some photos of what a full base setup might look like that's taking full advantage of this mod? Maybe even throw som...

Re: {IDEA/WIP} Advance boiler

NPUtils has two new boilers and an independent steam generator generator already. Pretty sure there's already a few mods besides that one as well. Not sure what you mean by advanced boiler either.

Re: [REQUEST] Changing the way Fuel Works

The current problem is that you'd end up having each piece of coal (or whatever) taking up its own tile in your inventory based on its durability. I know the devs are looking to change how items of varying durability stack in 0.15 though.

Re: Inline Assemblers

A single iron gear assembler can supply six red science assemblers ten, actually I see your point, but after initial science setup, people usually want to mass-produce basic components like iron gears at very high rates. So they would have 10 or 20 iron gear factories taking from a single belt, and...

Re: Inline Assemblers

Problem: belts have a much higher throughput than assemblers need. The game is based around being able to supply many assemblers from a single belt. If you had belts feeding directly into assemblers than the iron plates would stack up in front of the assembler. It would end up with the best situati...

Re: Inline Assemblers

Right. So essentially the building would have a belt running through the center of it. For example, iron plates could be split off the main bus and fed into the back of an inline assembler, iron gears are produced and output out of the front. No break in the belt. Edit - To be clear, I don't believe...

[REQUEST] Inline Assemblers

I posted this in ideas/suggestions for the base game, as I'm willing to bet it would be difficult, if not impossible, to mod into the game with the current mechanics. Copy/pasted below. So one thing that kind of throws me off is the fact that inserters can pull and insert right through the walls of ...

Inline Assemblers

So one thing that kind of throws me off is the fact that inserters can pull and insert right through the walls of buildings. It makes sense for gameplay reasons, but one thing that I think would be cool is to have belt fed assemblers for single ingredient components like gears and cables. The buildi...

Re: [MOD 0.14.x] NPUtils 1.13

So before I say anything else, this mod is awesome, and I love it. I only recently got Factorio and there are a ton of really cool mods out there but they're just so overly complicated that I can't get into them and this one strikes a perfect balance of function and utility without overwhelming me w...
