Re: Friday Facts #406 - Space Age Music
i'm very much loving all of these, especially how well they convey the vibe of each environment. my only real criticism is that Fulgora's music, while good in itself, kinda feels too.. techno-y? and could do with maybe being slowed down a bit; the clearer rhythm feels more like combat music than bui...

Re: Friday Facts #387 - Swimming in lava
very big fan of the big machines (pun not intended), they really hit the industrial vibes of the game much better imo than the older small ones, especially the foundry. i'm also loving the idea of molten metal handling, and i hope it'll get used for more complex production chains, turning scaling fr...

Re: Friday Facts #384 - Combinators 2.0
big fan of the new UI, and especially the AND and OR in the decider, and the selector also seems useful however since this stuff is being worked on, most of the times i work with complex circuits, the biggest problem tends to be following the wires, so some type of overlay thingy that shows wires as...

Re: Friday Facts #373 - Factorio: Space Age
haven't been here in a while, this was definitely interesting enough that i have some thoughts however first off, the expansion looks great, seems like it fits the Factorio visual style well, and is concise enough to not have my main issue with the SE mod, which is that it's incredibly long-winded f...

Re: GitLab support
+1 for gitlab support, although any arbitrary git support would be even nicer since git is decentralised by nature (despite MSFT/github trying to make it not), and some selfhost their git or use platforms such as codeberg or Framagit (which I use) As TheOddler said, it could even be a generic URL to...

Re: Friday Facts #279 - Train GUI & Modern Spitter
My only complaint is that the worms and nests are too smooth, as others have mentioned too.
The train GUI looks great, but I'd have the option to collapse the condition list for each station.

Re: Friday Facts #267 - Experiments, Explosives & Extended tags
The tags seem very useful, especially the map ping. I'll finally be able to precisely point out which block of instant noodles I'm complaining about to my friend.

Re: Friday Facts #262 - Hello my name is: Compilatron
I like how Compilatron has a little floppy drive on the front.
It is also adorable, and I hope it will exist in freeplay.
Now we just need the spidertron.

Re: [MOD 0.16] Realistic Reactors
I have made some tweaks to the hr-sprite for the tower, now it looks a lot better:
On a side note, guess who remembered to save the original blender file and now only has a 720x720 render of the tower to work with.

Re: [MOD 0.16] Realistic Reactors
the substructure of the normal resolution tower looks better somehow. I know, I'm not quite sure what is off with the high-res one, but will try to fix it at some point. i made images for the reactor and breeder reactor by layering the vanilla reactor onto it. maybe it's not perfect but i would lov...

Re: [MOD 0.16] Realistic Reactors
Here is a cooling tower I just made for you, feel free to use:
Note that it's a bit low-res, will make a high-res one soon
EDIT: High-Res version with slightly fixed shadows:

Re: Friday Facts #254 - No research queue for you
I disagree with the removal of the queue.
For older players with 800+ hours, it is just tedious selecting each research manually.
Also, Spidertron when?

Re: Friday Facts #245 - Campaign concept
The line between production 2 and engine has a one pixel offset. As a hobbyist graphics guy, this would make the game literally unplayable. On a (more) serious note, I like the fact that you will research the science packs separately, and that you won't have to restart in the campaign. I might even ...
