Thats partially because the "atomic bomb" is not a an atomic bomb as you might know it.
It is actually more like a FatMan from Fallout or like a M28 Davy Crockett https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Davy_Crockett_(nuclear_device)
I think the ingame "atomic bomb" is just badly named and the research ...

Re: This game could have existed without iron plates
In fact, I think the game would be greatly improved by introducing rain, which rusts all the iron plates on conveyors and anything (like, say, conveyors) that is made of iron.

Locomotives on Rocket-Fuel/Uranium - Cosmetics
This is a purely cosmetic suggestion but it should get a laugh or two out of the player.
How about Locomotives on Rocketfuel would shoot flames out of the chimney and set the tracks on fire.
You know, something like that to show that you are using premium fuels to run your business. ;)

0.15 Savefile editing - Adjusting Difficulty setting
Greetings Users,
I am currently in the 0.15 Open Beta and started a Game with the preset railworld.
I did notice that Biters wont expand into previously cleared territory anymore this way, but I am a bit bored as they pretty much avoid my base now.
Is it possible to change that to the standard ...

Re: Does Math Ruin this Game?
I never was good at math but I DO like to wrap my head around.
But for the most part i dont pay much attention to rations,... just build more than enough and you are fine.
The Game isnt really punishing you for paying no attention, except when you are playing some masochistic low resource map

Re: Did they silently increase tank capacity massivly?
I havent taken a close look at the duration of an oil field, but I did notice that fluid-tanks are HUGE now.
"Oh the tank has 2,3K of oil in it but the bar is only at 10%... that must be a bug" ... kinda thing

Re: Friday Facts #164 - Nuclear power
It doesn't help that all the media has portrayed them so wrong that people seem to believe that they are basically primed nukes in disguise rather than extremely safe which, for my personal tastes, really drives me up the wall. [/quote]

Armored Biters and Spitters / Mixed Turrets
Here is another showerthought.
In the endgame, you mainly build Laser-Turrets to fight those filthy aliens.
To counteract that, give Biters and Spitters armor/thick skin/plating like you see on an Armadillo https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armadillo .
Think of it as a Kevlar Vest that only hardly ...

Re: How aggresive are bites supposed to be?
I would like to see another variety of Biters and Spiters:
The Hive-queen.
They move slower than other Aliens, but are mobile hives that can also seed the area with nests.
They deal huge damage (maybe also ranged)
Basically I would like to see them as siegeweapons that brake through your walls of ...

Thorium Reactors
Rather than Uranium Reactors, I would like to see Thorium reactors or maybe Nuclear Fusion reactors for later on.
Reactors that run on Uranium Fission only developed because of the Manhatten Project to buil a Fission Bomb first.
So my reason is, if we dont get Nuclear Warheads and ballistic ...
