Biter farms maybe?
1) Biological products ("meat", methane, etc).
2) Electricity generation by biters running in a wheel.
3) Feed biters so that they grow and breed (to replace those dying of age).

Re: Friday Facts #408 - Statistics improvements, Linux adventures
I play Factorio on PC via Steam because I'm lazy. It's a very good thing that you support Linux though, as Microsoft doesn't need any more of a monopoly than they allready have.
Linux and MacOS are "PC" too. Just saying.
Even if we're talking specifically about "IBM PC", desktop Linux is still ...

Just an unimportant off topic question.
Is (or will be) the multi-pointer functionality (2 or more active mouse cursors) supported in Factorio 2.0? Could be fun playing the game with two mice simultaneously.

Listening to the soundtrack, I think the last two planets are: 1) some kinds of glass / crystals; 2) oceanic / water world.

Will we eventually be able to build a Dyson sphere?

They'd just need straps.pejsek wrote: Fri Oct 20, 2023 4:45 pm But if we want to be real pedants, then we can also point out that the belts themselves would fail to carry any items if the platform is not accelerating.

Loving the development ways of Factorio.
Is it just my imagination or Factorio is acquiring more and more similarities to the first StarCraft?
Would love to play StarCraft on Factorio map, though.
Or a symbiosis of both games taking landscape+automation from Factorio and unit controls + fight ...

To the devs.
You might add an option allowing people to add their email address to the log file if they wish so.
I'd gladly provide my email address for cases when devs need some additional information from me.

Re: Movie Player
Holy crap, 34 megabytes of memory! With that you could store the entirety of Doom 1 and 2 and still have 8MB to spare. That's seriously impressive!
Next challenge: Port Doom 1 and 2 to Factorio circuit network. :D
Theoretically..
it might be possible. Well, not a shooter game but some ...

Re: Mirroring blueprints
There are a few instances which make this a bad idea.

Mirroring blueprints
Subject speaks for itself.
Please make buttons in blueprint editing window which would mirror the blueprint horizontally or vertically. Mere rotation is not usable in some cases because it changes directions of items like belts and splitters.
Mirroring would be perfect for this purpose.
