Re: Friday Facts #406 - Space Age Music
An idea that I haven't seen mentioned so far (or forgot was mentioned) is this: I imagine that the various instruments were recorded with individual microphones for mixing/mastering purposes, right? I think that it would be INCREDIBLY cool if (and I recognize this is a pretty big engine change to ad...

Re: Friday Facts #381 - Space Platforms
Really cool stuff! Would also be cool to see some mid-/late-space-age tech Γ la small modular reactors (SMRs); obviously given the scale of nuclear reactors in Factorio they're already basically SMRs, but the specific thing I'm interested is the low-to-none water consumption. Alternatively, some rec...

Re: Friday Facts #380 - Remote view
Great stuff! Especially love the new shader tint (though it'd be nice to have a way to turn off the visual fuzz on the ghosts, the motion hurts my eyes). I'm actually surprisingly disturbed by being able to rotate things instantly from the map. IMO this: - is huge departure from the remote language ...

[wheybags] Compilation blocking building placement
When trying to place a building where compilation is standing, he does not move away, preventing its placement. This is especially clear when it alerts that you need more steam power and blocks the engine.

"This tile is blocked"
I've introduced two new players to the tutorial and both found significant frustration when placing mining drills. On coal specifically, when a mining drill drops a coal and blocks the tile, it seems to be difficult for new players to understand that they must pick up the coal (F is not demonstrated...

Biters lose aggro on game load
Title. When loading an autosave, biters mid-attack seem to lose aggro until shot. I've attached a save with an example being the biters around the boilers down south.

Re: Friday Facts #280 - Visual Feedback is the king
Well, waypoints are both useful for when you want to override the game's pathfinding and make trains go where you want them to go, and to make GIANT BASE-DEFENDING TRAIN LOOPS OF DEATHmicromario wrote: βFri Feb 01, 2019 5:38 pm What is the use case for waypoints? Top blueprint library suggestion on the Factorio subreddit
TL;DR One day ago, Reddit user u/Quazarz_ posted an image of his mockup of how the blueprint library should look and function. This post is already at 1.2K upvotes and is in the top 10 posts of the past month. It's received extremely positive feedback from the community, and I'd highly suggest you ...

Re: Friday Facts #160 - Playtesting
Since the playthrough is so long, you should rethink "There is no spoon" and "No time for chitchat," as they are significantly harder now that playtime is up a ton. Also, how would "Tech Maniac" work with the infinite tech? Thanks!
