Re: [MOD 0.17] Industrial Revolution

Updated to 1.06 today and it set us back a lot of researches. We had Future Tech (or whatever the research is that unlocks the titanium/gold alloy) researched, as well as everything that didn't require military or space science, but when I logged in after the update it had deleted all of our storage...

[0.17.62] Placing a chest at the end of a belt occasionally removes items on belt

I'll start by saying I'm 100% sure this is what happened, but I also cannot reproduce it. I had two blue circuits at the end of a single-piece belt, because I was working on a mockup of a blueprint, and was going to follow it with two requester chests. When I placed the far chest, nothing happened, ...

Re: Friday Facts #282 - 0.17 in sight

@EnProsent: To be fair, they said 'the week of the 25th', not the 25th itself. It may yet release later in the week. ^_^ Just keep your formal protests civil :P

Re: Factorio update times

I would like to counter this by saying that Factorio is still in beta and some hassles are kind of what I'm expecting :) I mean, I guess if I was expecting everything to be perfect, that would be silly. I do understand that sometimes, everything won't work 100%. But I was just wondering if maybe th...

Factorio update times

The last time I tried to play Factorio, it was 16.16. It's now 16.36, which is great, right? First, let me say that I'm a fan of the in-game updater. That's cool. However, when I need to download 20 versions, it's a little frustrating. I broke it twice, probably by alt-tabbing, and then the third ti...

Off to a wonderful start.

Spawned on a 3x4 island just offshore. You win this round, aliens...you win this round.

Re: Ghosts prior to researching construction bots

@Frightning

Appareently, that is how it works. It still isn't quite what I was looking for, but it *is* good to know. Thanks for spelling that out for me.

So what I want is the ability to place a ghost *without* having to build it first, even if that's limited by what you know how to make.

Re: Ghosts prior to researching construction bots

When I shift click on something, it just crafts it. If you mean to shift click on something in your inventory, I was really hoping for something even before I got to that point--if I've got it made already, I may as well just place it. The ghost would be so I don't have to craft it to figure out if ...

Ghosts prior to researching construction bots

This is a suggestion/plea to have the ability to create ghosts prior to researching construction bots. These wouldn't have any function other than placeholders, but it would make it a lot easier to plan out a base. I frequently run into the problem that I miscount my steps and have to redesign a por...
