Personal Roboport Bots not upgrading/fixing.
I was playing Nauvis Post Collapse where there are a lot of things to repair and upgrade so this map made it much more obvious there was an issue, I have since had the same experience on other regular maps.
Fixing: I would walk into an area that had been damaged by biters and my robots would not ...

Re: How do I change the default autosave file name?
Thanks Jodokus30, I usually just play the dev version with a very limited set of mods, I try to keep it stock so multiple version would be overcomplicating the issue. I was hoping the devs had thought of this already....

How do I change the default autosave file name?
I want to change the default auto-save file name. Currently it is _autosave[1-3]. This is great if you only have one save-game or can remember to save to a special file every time you exit (i don't). I want to change it to be [mapname]_autosave[1-3] This way I'll have separate auto-saves for every ...

Re: Broken Train Brakes?
You are right I do see a diff, but why? An engineer on the train/player should be able to stop the train almost as fast as a computer controller could... It just doesn't make sense.

Broken Train Brakes?
Am I doing something wrong or do train brakes not work in manual mode? I use 'w' for forward and then press and hold 's' for reverse/stop but it takes for ever to stop. When the train reaches a station it stops very quickly on it's own, but I am not getting anywhere's near that speed manually. Is ...

Incremental Updates!
I've suggested it before, but I'll suggest it again:
Factorio should have incremental updates! Instead of re-downloading the entire ~817mb every time Factorio updates, an incremental version should be available. Only the last couple of versions should be kept available but it would a) save ...

Re: Friday Facts #252 - Sound design & Map editor
one of the main things the editor of yore was missing is the ability to generate LESS random maps. It's a pain to generate a map with everything beautifully random (you really do a good job of that by the way) so that I can blank out the whole map to start from scratch. Being able to cut and paste ...

Re: Friday Facts #254 - No research queue for you
I have to agree the research queue is a must! I always download a mod for that because it is one of the most missing features of the game, you should look at the way many of the most popular research queue mods do it and take inspiration (very, very heavy inspiration) from them. Think about it ...

Re: Incremental Updates
I never use the in game update, because my connections so slow I don't want my game tied up for ~30 minutes while I can't do anything (I have tried it). So the on web site downloads are for me since i can download in the background and play while i wait.

Re: Friday Facts #222 - Christmas avalanche
I like the updates and 16.x is awesome, but I would protest AGAINST removing the fluid wagon separation mechanics. I have found many, many uses for the divided tankers. Most importantly they are very compact! I do think they are too big though. I think a full undivided tanker should be the same size ...

Re: Incremental Updates
I respectfully disagree. the download files listed on the website are all ~800mb. there is no 'update' file, only the full download. Maybe there should be a incremental update download available? I too have a poor internet connection and it will take me 45 mins to download the file. (currently ...

Re: Friday Facts #159 - Research revolution - Liquid Wagon
The New Liquid Wagon looks great! However the engineering/physics of the look are off. :geek: The wagon has 3 tanks with filler ports at the top and a large pipe at the side of each tank running between them ( about half way up the tank). Then the two outer tanks have pipes (2x ?, on both sides ...
