That's a good point. Perhaps it would be better suited for the first two levels to be accessible early / mid game (relatively speaking) and the third unlocked mid / late game. You can use the third tier to continuously harass biter camps in future expansion areas until you're ready to deal with them...

It's not that bad. The problem I assume you're having (and this is covered in the posts referenced earlier) is you're trying to go head on vs. an extremely well defended biter base. Don't do that. 1. I kind of did limit it. I have the panels going to a box with all but the first two slots closed off.

Do you folks typically find it necessary to wall in your entire base or is it sufficient to create 'Turret Bunkers' in key locations?
