The converter trigger is just a helper, the recipes are always there, the trigger will only unhide them, so you can actually see them in the crafting menu, to give an idea what converts to what. If you stuff in the mod to a already running game you might have to reset recipes and technology by hand...

The in-game is annoying when you want to install multiple mods, but for the updates it's fine. I just make a copy of my mods to my server. rsync do a wonderful job for that :) . Interesting. I find the in-game a little hard to use. Certainly more difficult than downloading all the .zip files separately. Did you get a windows stating some changes in the game (i.e. the migration scripts)? I got some... I can send you my mods folder later, if you think that it might be useful. You need to update your mods again. I had that issue yesterday, I updated my mods and all recipes were updated. After the update, everything went fine, but I had to destroy all my old carbon. It cannot be used anymore. I hope you do not have that much stored... I'll give it a shot an report back. I...

So I left the bob electrolyser unlock and the bob chemical furnace unlock in the techs because they are used later on by other bob recipes. But Petrochems comes with its own recipes for carbon which use the liquifier, furnace and ore crusher. Petrochem also comes with it's own electrolyser and Petr...

It's not a problem with Bobs, you're using angels stuff which overwrites Bobs recipes. In particular in this case the petrochem mod.
