Re: Agricultual Science Pack
There's an existing discussion about this exact same thing here: https://forums.factorio.com/viewtopic.php?t=116005
Thanks. I found one poster who actually mentioned why he didn't like gleba overproduction: Because to remove spoilage from science labs he would have to insert more space between ...

Re: Agricultual Science Pack
I should have mentioned that it was a thought experiment to show that over production of gleba does not matter.
Perhaps not, but the post you were responding to doesn't cite gleba overproduction as being a problem.
I quote from your post: "it's probably a good idea to have higher ...

Re: Gleba has killed the game for me.
I'm still in the middle of the early Gleba nightmare. And while I can see some possibilities for viable factories, I'm having a hard time feeling excited and motivated about them. I'm more of a casual player. For example, I like to turn the evolution rates down a bit during setup so it's a little ...

Re: Agricultual Science Pack
If this hasn't been answered already, just compare what would happen if you increased gleba science, rocket bases and rocket production 10fold:
Why not increase it 1000 fold? 1,000,000 fold? Why don't you devote every waking minute of your life, for the rest of your life, to increasing the ...

Re: Agricultual Science Pack
You might not have realized, but you can safely let the science packs from gleba spoil when you don't need them.
Yes I know, I do this. The problem still exists though for a few reasons:
1. Gleba science production is not high enough to equal the science I've already built on Nauvis - which ...

Re: Agricultual Science Pack
Can we please get rid of spoilage on agricultural science packs. A small quality of life improvement that will make Gleba less painful. Hard enough trying to make items on Gleba, now it's a race to get the science packs to the lab. At least extended the spoilage time of agricultural science ...

Re: [Poll] Would you be happy to pay for more official planets and expansions?
Though the design of different types of power generation was done for 1.0. I fail to see what design work done for 1.0 has to do with space age.
I was talking about lightning collectors, power from sulfur, the heating tower etc. They weren't in 1.0.
Ah, okay. Though you are again assuming ...

Re: [Poll] Would you be happy to pay for more official planets and expansions?
Point 1 though is touching on a rather important part of a sandboxy game like factorio. You can solve energy in very different ways on the different planets for example, why leave that out of the game, it might streamline it for people only interested in making gigafactories, but it would make ...

Re: [Poll] Would you be happy to pay for more official planets and expansions?
Your arguments make much more sense now, thank you.
Also, once you solved interplanetary delivery of stuff, what additional complexity does your example offer? Whether the stuff comes from one or two planets or a train station does not make much of a difference.

I don't think space age is finished at the moment
I don't agree, in my opinion it's definitely finished.
Etc
I like fulgora. I find the sorting mechanic really interesting and I haven't mastered it yet.
I enjoyed Gleba initially, after getting over the cliff that is the learning curve ...

Re: Gleba has killed the game for me.
What I don't understand, is why spoilage on Gleba also causes spoilage of the fish on Nauvis. I have not launched a rocket yet in 2.0, so this makes No sense to me.
In the space age mod everything biological rots as it would do in reality. It isn't some effect imported from Gleba.
In vanilla 2 ...

And people should not be able to fly.

No problem if you want to make some puzzle easier but don't make it into a law of nature.

Re: Certain tech tree dependencies and trigger tech issues in Space Age
I am not sure oil and uranium techs are trigger techs to teach something but simply that it very well fits with the scenario that you first have to find a resource to then research what you can do with it. It also keeps some recipes from appearing simply because you have research left until the time ...

Re: Version 2.0.38
I guess there could be an issue if there enough platform for 1 furnace to be placed and it sends up 50 (and repeats with enough items to fill up the hub), or if it sends up each furnace in a separate rocket. Or is there another problem with the logic you are trying to point out?
That's a million ...

Re: Thank you Wube for fair commercial practices.
Clearly OP stated not being interested by the game content, although not in the first post again.
He stated (in different words) that he has less interest in the game than the price tag that deters him, "less" is not the same as "0".
OP also claims it's not about making the game cheaper but ...

Re: $50 DLC and no sale is disappointing
Maybe a thought experiment might clear up the misunderstandings: Assume Wube didn't participate in sales but reduced the price each month by 10 cent. So in 10 years it would be 12 Euros/Dollars/whatever cheaper. A prospective buyer could then evaluate what the game was worth to him, or what he can ...

Re: [Poll] Would you be happy to pay for more official planets and expansions?
i dont see any point in adding more planets... i also play dyson sphere prg and i dont even tackle 10 % of planets.
also
if more planets means more type of sciences that means some other research ...for what? i already barely touch the ores and barely use science packs to research...
megabasing ...

Re: Version 2.0.34
This may be a rather ignorant view as I haven't tested the change yet, but "undo" in UI design is primarily a method to go back on mistakes, not for efficient building or speed runs. And the intuitive thing for the user is that any **action he does** is undone one by one, not suddenly split into ...

Re: [Poll] Would you be happy to pay for more official planets and expansions?
We can actually hope for some modders filling in for the devs. We have already seen great total conversion mods, but most of them went into the direction of more complexitiy, more grind and harder. Space age makes it possible for modders to add much smaller mods with just another planet having an ...
