Re: Please review my mod list for a mellow first Py run
The official set of Pyanodon mods are not intended to be played with biters right now. Pollution, etc is not balanced. So I'd turn those off for a first run. If you really like playing with biters, then add the Py Pollution and Energy fan made sub-mod. It balances pollution and lowers evolution to b...

Enriched Uranium Powder 40%, which is the main component of Fuel Rod MK03 needs 3 times more iron than uranium:
Not sure if that's intended.

Re: pY Raw Ores Discussion
I've checked out the new multi-step Stainless Steel recipe, and while at first look it seems promising, it turns out it requires more than twice as much iron as the single step recipe. Example, using High Grade Iron > Molten Iron path, and hot air versions of the recipes, for producing 100 Stainless...

Re: Ore Gen Bug?
My hunch is that the "coverage" property should be removed from the autoplace definitions on the resources. Coverage basically means x% of the surface should be covered by this resource. If coverage is set to a constant number, then decreasing the frequency would mean increasing the size o...

Re: pY Alien Life - Discussion
Is there a chart or description somewhere what are the different animals and plant used for? What I'm looking for is recommendation what each animal is good for with yields for full render or individual. Keeping in mind that this is one of those topics where everyone has a different opinion, here a...

Re: pY Pollution & Energy (Unofficial)
Hi esso23! I really like the mod, I think it's essential if you're playing PyMods with biters. I want to ask about the higher tier machines. In the base game higher tier machines have less pollution as you upgrade (assembling machine, electric furnace). Wouldn't it be more consistent with Factorio t...

Re: pY Alien Life - Discussion
FYI, I've reported a base game bug (or inconvenience) with the new Py rocket silo, and it was fixed for the next Factorio release.

[0.18.35] Incorrect Auto-Launch with Modded Rocket
I'm playing with pyalienlife mod (1.8.6), and it has a modded rocket which has an inventory size of 10 instead of 1. If I tick the Auto-launch with cargo checkbox, the rocket gets launched as soon as it has a single item in the inventory, instead of waiting for all inventory slots to be full. There ...

Re: Some small mistakes I found
Nope it's different. All animal ranches have 2 recipes with Antiviral as an ingredient, which increases the caged animal output from 0.9 to 1.5. https://i.imgur.com/YZTtylG.jpg So you get: 1 Cage > 1.5 Caged Auog > 1.5 Cage This is without prod modules. The prod module example I was talking about ea...

Re: Some small mistakes I found
no prod modules in any pyAl organic based recipes. Raising pups into adult animals in the Creature Chamber also accepts prod modules, and can also (for some animals) return extra cages. I guess that'll go away too? what does make extra cages? also apparently there is a bit of wigle room with prod m...

Re: pY Petroleum Handling
I've found this interesting: https://i.imgur.com/cHq9Fpz.jpg It's quite amazing how much of it is covered by PyPH. It's also scary how much simpler PyPH is than reality. And it's safe to assume this chart is also just an oversimplification of even more complex stuff. Also, apparently there's PyGas :...

Re: Guide to pY: LTN and misc tips
Dont bother with a mall of everything, there are too many buildings to justify that. Just make the basics like gears and small parts, or the basic buildings in coal processing if you so wish. Hard disagree. Don't hand craft anything you don't have to (which is mostly circuit 1s at the beginning). B...

1 at some point you can sort 1 lead concentrate(i think ) into 1 high grade Ag/Pb (one of each) , here the chain splits and you can get both at the same time You must be on some old version of PyRO. This used to be the case, but that recipe no longer exists. There are separate recipes for High Grad...

Re: pY Coal Processing - Discussion
I'm not sure whether it's a bug or not, but I was disappointed when I noticed that a Niobium Mine on a Niobium Ore patch resulted in roughly the same amount of Niobium Ore produced per consumed Drill Head than a Ground Borer. It also seems to be slower. I tested it by measuring the output when supp...

Hot Air shouldn't give more than 50% boost to anything. Honestly even that seems a bit much. Hot air is basically free as far as resources go. It costs a little bit of electricity, and that's it. Maybe a 1/3 improvement (33.33%) would be more appropriate. And it should give less and less (as a perce...

Re: pY Coal Processing - Discussion
I think the science change is a very good idea. Generally the cb2 in blue science is too much of a brick wall for a lot of people, at least this way you're a little bit prepared (yes, cb2 is still a much bigger chain than cb1, but every little bit helps). You can and you should automate cb1 very ear...

Re: Nitrogen recipe is pointless
The only place I use Cold Clean Air is where it's unavoidable (Heavy P Doped Silicon). Currently it's not worth using it for either Nitrogen or Helium. I make about half of my Nitrogen from Bitumen in Ionic Upgrader. For the other half I use the Distillation Column/Filter route. For Helium I use the...
