Re: Green and Red wires: Why two colours?
There is not really a need for even 2 colors, however I too would like a few more colors, just so I can more easily distinguish / kep track of which networks have to be seperated and which are on the same hierarchy of the computation and stuff like that.

Re: Is this intersection going to work?
As long as you don't want your trains turning left or need very high throughput it will work.

Re: Another train signal help!
Rails are divided into rail segment. A segment contains all rail pieces that are connected to each other, while signals seperate them. So if you place a straight line every signal you place adds another segment. While if you make a circle the first signal has no effect since the two rail pieces next...

Re: Train station design questions: waiting bay
I've read a few times (Sadly don't remember where exactly) that trains choose which station they travel to only when they leave a station and then only recalculate the path to said fixed station and designed my railroads accordingly. Has this been debunked?

Re: Can I use circuits to automate this?
Which leads me to wonder, apart from soem very clever stuff with circuits, what else can you use them for? Around two months ago I was asking myself a similar question. Have been tinkering with circuit network stuff ever since. :D I made this a few days ago (used a mod to allow changing assembler r...

Re: Belt buffers
This is of course not always possible, but I mean it is a bit important to talk about this in a multiplayer game, cause if some play for resource surplus and other play for production surplus you come into some small or big problems. :) You run into having a whole lot of production. "Guys, our...

Re: How to make fast inserter
It should be right next to the filter inserter.
If you mean in assemblers it may be that you need an assembler mk2 to produce it automatically.

Re: Issue with oil barrels
A barrel is filled in 2 seconds, if your oilwells are depleted the pumpjacks will produce 0.1 oil per second without beacons. Therefore you would need to 125 times the production of one pumpjack in order for one assembly to not be sufficient. At 100% you will still need the production of 12.5 pumpja...

Re: How come my furnace is not producing
1: You don't need to align the inserters with the hole in the furnace, just anywhere is fine.
2: Top row inserters 2-7 are stuck trying to insert coal.
3: Lower row firnace 1-2 don't have an inserter for output and therefore probably have run full.

Re: I can't put my trains to work...
I assume both stations use the same name. The train determines which one will be his actual goal when he leaves the last station. He only reevaluates when there is no valid path to the chosen station. So to make this work you could add an intermediary station right before the unloading station track...
