Blood kills UPS
Hello, I love using nuclear bomb to big crowd of bitters My problem is, when I do that my UPS can go to 0.2 UPS which stuck the game for minutes of ultra lagging => one of my CPU core jumps to 100% I figured out that, it's not the explosion or fire or smoke that trigger the low UPS but the blood of ...

Improving 'catching up'
Hello, [EDIT] similar posts are describing same problem (see following post) I joined a public multiplayer game (one of many with same behavior), it took a long time because it was a really big map/save (77MB). The first step is to download the save : I was downloading at 1.1MB/sec, nobody can do an...

Re: Friday facts #94 - No 0.12 Release today
Hello Just an idea about the t-shirt, I don't really fancy the loading bar style : too much already done, with everything, and I think it doesn't fit the factorio spirit I think it should represent more the game, something more smart, logical, or about settler, etc.... You can add a sentence like &q...

Re: [0.11.1] Some multiplayer feedback
If you have to reconnect, you can launch the game with the command : factorio --mp-connect IP:port You can do it inside a shortcut, so 1 click = launch + reconnect the game same command exist for the server side : factorio --mp-load-game save_file It exist for Linux, I think it should exist for Wind...

Ok so I tested a clean install, the bug is not present anymore
It was because I copied some config files from the old to the new version
The bug was a BEPKAC....

Re: [0.11.1 - Linux] Crash with symbolic links
Very strange it is working for you, I took a look in the 'man 2 rename' , and I can see this : EXDEV oldpath and newpath are not on the same mounted filesystem. (Linux permits a filesystem to be mounted at multiple points, but rename() does not work across different mount points, even if the same fi...

Re: [0.11.1 - Linux] Crash with symbolic links
Nice one !
I made a symbolic link for the 'temp' folder, but the game delete the 'temp' element when the game is started, just after the loading.
Any other idea ? :p
A good long term solution would be that the game create his 'temp' folder inside the 'saves' folder

[0.11.1 - Linux] Crash when bad format in arguments
Hello
I tried to launch factorio on linux with the '-h' argument but the game crashed, in fact you can crash the game with any argument containing only one '-'
After that, I found what I searched with --help

[Linux] Changing the save folder βΈ
Hello Actually the game is saving into the 'saves' folder of the game folder You should put this folder into the user folder (~/.factorio/saves or something like that) Why this modification should be implemented ? - Your saves is no longer dependent of the game folder, but the linux user folder (for...
