I think that the issue is with the railtanker mod and that the items are probably not the liquid items themselves. I've checked the railtanker mod folder and haven't been able to locate any of the items so I suspect that they might be dynamically created for mod-compatibility.

At least a few of the items that used to crash the game don't anymore. I'll keep testing and let you know if I encounter any more crashes.

Crash when selling the starting coins: Can't perform arithmetic on tax1 since it has a nil value... It doesn't crash when including other items worth more than 1 coin.
