Redo isn't a thing.
I'm sorry, I think I misunderstand your post.

In factorio, it is currently possible to undo an undo with control + shift + y. For me, this is called "redo" (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Undo for reference).

enable option to remap / change key binding for redo action

TL;DR Ignore this threat. At the moment (version 1.1.1) there is no redo functionality. What ? I want to be able to remap / change key binding for the redo action. Currently it is left shift + control + z. Without showing this in the key bindings menu, it's even hard to know that there is a redo ac...

I really appreciate the heart you put into the background cut sequences. #1: the player chasing the biter and vice versa :D

Instead of "item" use "fluid". I think that's all you need, but if you turn on the debug mode and then hover over the item in the crafting menu it will show you the internal name.
Thank you!

rich text & fluids

To show items ingame in text, like in chat or as station names, you can type i.e. [item=iron-ore] and the image is shown instead of the text. For me, this does not work for fluids. [item=crude-oil] does not show the icon, instead the text is marked in yellow. What am I doing wrong? Are the internal ...

qol - auto-set second furnace in upgrade planner

What?
When using the upgrade planner to upgrade/downgrade furnaces, auto-set the new part (stone->steel or steel->stone), like done with rail signals, because electric furnaces are no option to replace.
Why?
I am lazy. Unification.

Respective belt changes:

Why are belts and rails placed differently? I imagine placing belts the way I place rails very attractive.
There once was a mod that did this

Ya and it would make sense to see also “forward” into drive direction (negative numbers). Also already suggested somewhere... didn’t find it any more.
It is linked in the first post ... ;-)

I'd prefer numbers in the boxes, though it might be tricky at merges.

Not quite as obvious as highlighting the last wagon, but works if you have trains of varying lengths, without needing to faff around changing the length setting.
You're so right!

Re: Sorting savegames (was: Save game system)

A game needing to fiddle with the file explorer to manage savegame files is, in my opinion, a very bad design indicator. I get the point, and I partially agree, but I like being able to interfere by using my OS, too. Like when doing backups of a game (even if it were only for settings and saves), I...

Re: Sorting savegames (was: Save game system)

I once was wishing for that too and found a simple but yet very practical approach. I hope this works on windows, too, and easens up things for you. Open your file browser and navigate to your saves folder. Create a sub-folders. They are shown ingame and are sorted alphabetically above the saves in ...

Questions : You assume that there is a decent tracking of all objects surrounding the planet. Sadly, there isn't. Currently, the tracking is done by every country on its own. Even Europe just starts to collaborate within itself. Further, the problems of small particles (2 cm and less) is underestim...

Re: Balanced Fluids Train Station

I am quoting Fluid System, Flow from the official wiki and then write a short interpretation. This is how the game mechanics work at the current game version: All connected tanks and pipes are treated as a single vessel in that the level of fluid must be equal in all parts. The flow rate between pip...
