Re: Red and Green Science Packs and other my creations with Mods
This is really interesting. I love how modular and compact it is. Definitely a different style of building than what you would usually see. Great job!

Re: Aren't we the aliens?
Yup pretty much. I think a popular Steam Review put it pretty nicely:
"Build Factories, destroy ecosystem, anger natives, destroy natives, take their oil. Murica Sim 2016".

Re: Friday Facts #131 - Roadmap shuffle
By far one of most exciting FF for me! Even with some stuff being pushed to 0.14, there is still a ton of really great stuff being added to 0.13! :) I am overjoyed to hear that pipes and underground Belts will be able to be placed like power poles, this is a massive quality of life thing, at least f...

Re: New to Mods
1. Most mods you can add or remove at will, but some of them that change items or recipes could leave some things not working in your factory if you take them away or even add them midway through. 2. Yes it is usually best to use the latest version of the mod. It will typically have the most feature...

Have you tried Distractor Capsules and poison capsules (for the worms)? Also in case you didn't know, you can just run into the spawners with your tank it kills them instantly.

Re: [MOD 0.12.11] SRS, an end game challenge
Sounds pretty interesting! Would be cool to know actual cost of the blood coin altogether. Now I know you said you aren't great at coding, but I do have a suggestion that could perhaps add a lot to the game with this mod. Maybe instead of the coin just being a counter, it could actually be used for ...

Re: man not shooting anymore
Yeah SPACE only works when shooting at enemies. So if there are no enemies near by using space will just do nothing. If you want to shoot a specific thing, mouse over it and hit C. Also make sure your weapon (with ammo) is selected by cycling through them with Q.

Re: End game theory and gameplay ideas
I've been thinking that the biggest weakness the game has isn't so much the endgame, but rather the fact that it's the same game every time you restart. I'm perfectly content to launch my rocket and begin again (although a more climatic end condition would be welcome), but there needs to be a reaso...

Re: Robots fill far away storage chests?
Yup exactly. Personally I think it's a bit silly for them to do this. I think it would just be better for them to store things in the nearest chest, regardless of if there is any other of the item type there.roy7 wrote:They will chose the nearest storage chest that already has at least 1 of that item in it.

Mine usually aren't too creative since most are for YT playthroughs so Ijust name after that. But some of my personal ones are things like "supercrazymodsgame", or " screw_this_shit" if I saved when I super pissed about something like being over run by biters. Haha

Ooo a bunch of fixes is always good to see. Also glad that the mod Mismatch issue was fixed!
Good change too to have the initial revealed area larger. Definitely will save some time of having to walk around and explore it manually on every start.

Very interesting stats shown. It's amazing how many copies the game has sold already!
Also, well deserved community spotlight for Will and Xeteth, the tutorial will indeed help a ton of people I bet!

Re: Killing BIG Nests
Believe it or not you can actually take out that nest with just normal gun turrets and some piercing ammo. The only issue might be the worms, but if you have poison capsules unlocked then you can easily take care of them with that. Just plop some turrets down with ammo, then move forward a bit until...

Re: How well does this game run on laptops?
Should work good! I play mostly on my laptop which is about 6 years old has i7 2.3ghz and a decent graphics card, but the laptop has some issues so it is slow to begin with and still runs the game fine. Most the time I get 60fps except for the occasional drop to about 40fps for a few seconds.

Re: When to expect 0.13?
There hasn't been any official release time announced but I would guess maybe another few weeks or a month until the first Experimental release for 0.13. They are adding a lot in 0.13 so I do expect it to take a good bit of time still.

Man, yet another great mod from you! This is a brilliant idea, and makes stations so much cleaner and easier to set up if you are using bots. I am most definitely doing a spotlight on this right away.
Keep up the great work!

Re: My First factory
Dang... I can't say I have ever seen that much fuel storage. Haha Very interesting power setup. Don't think I have ever seen it made quite like that actually. :) However it is a bit concerning that some of the engines only get 3-4 water as I don't think that's enough to run them at full capacity. Bu...
