Re: [1.1.104] Crash on linux in "sound code"
New finding: I had some anomalies earlier today, so I went to repeat a lot of memory testing, and it seems my PC is unstable, with very rare and sneaky failures, only at some memory addreses at 8000 MT/s. It would explain the occasional random crash, if it just happened to touch one of those address...

[1.1.104] Crash on linux in "sound code"
This has happened three times in the past few days, unfortunately I kept the logs only for the past two times, primarily to see where and how consistently this happens. It was a segfault on all three occasions, and the two logs I have show it was somewhere inside the mixer and vorbis (other than tha...

Same question! I'm generally very opposed to pre-orders, but I'm making an exception for Wube!ThorsDragon wrote: βFri Aug 25, 2023 11:49 amYAY! Beta when? lol
Super stoked to have Friday Facts back!
Also, when can we start giving you money?? xD

When will you open pre-orders for the expansion? You're essentially the only studio right now I'd trust with something like that.

I never ever, as a rule, preorder, but Wube is my one, shining exception. Please give me that chance to preorder and support further development ASAP!

Was this same thing responsible for stuff like Klonan's Construction Drones mod stopping just short of building stuff? (Reported in "Discussions" on the mod portal: https://mods.factorio.com/mod/Construction_Drones/discussion/5f2c4f23f5eb437ede6268f5 ) 18.44 doesn't quite fix it - it's pos...

Re: Friday Facts #318 - New Tooltips
You guys are hands down the best game studio I've seen yet.
I figure I've gifted over 20 copies of Factorio over the years and everyone I've gifted it to loves the game!
The amount of thought and polish being applied here (consistently!) is mind boggling.
Please don't stop!

Re: Mods ruining long term achievement runs
I second this idea - a friend of mine recently ran into this little landmine and didn't even know that steam achievements were disabled after someone suggested tto him some mods. IMO, the warning would be most useful when going from a fully vanilla map to a modded map - ask the player if they're sur...

Re: Friday Facts #246 - The GUI update (Part 3)
Don't worry, the preview window won't spoil my exploration. I tend to forget what the map looked like about 0.2 sec after starting playing
The new GUI looks seriously awesome. Hats off to your UX guy (as well as to all other devs)!
