Re: Perfect 0~drain Laser: Blueprintable and Chunky!
I certainly don't want to spoil your fun. I built a sophisticated almost-zero-power wall like this myself, tinkering with it took about a week I guess, but after I was finished and I was satisfied how it did work, I realized what I wrote above.
A wall without any energy control worked the same ...

Re: Perfect 0~drain Laser: Blueprintable and Chunky!
To be honest, if you play for a longer time you realize it's not necessary to create super sophisticated defense walls. It's a waste of resources. It's a waste of time to build it all. The less items you need, the faster it is constructed and the faster it provides defense.
About waste, there is ...

With the advent of space-age and the quality mechanic; I think theres new things to talk about on this thread (I know this is a necro--but this is new/additive right? also, I looked around and I diden't see any rules against necro anyway).
I found this today, love it and I hate that I diden't think ...

ooh, actually; it'd be pretty cool to use cryogenics from the other planets to improve production lines on the gleba planet....Violet_Scarelli wrote: Fri Oct 11, 2024 7:25 pm My immediate thought is "will we get ways to delay/pause spoilage"? Because it'd be really useful if so...

Re: Friday Facts #432 - Aquilo
Oh please make level 4 belts out of this mechanic. Because of the high speed, the belts would generate a lot of heat. On aquilo this would be a benefit since the belt would generate its own heat, but on any other planet they would require active cooling. Faster belts on nauvis for example would ...

Re: Friday Facts #432 - Aquilo
Another week, another FFF introducing "new" things I've already experienced in mod overhauls (albeit with a different coat of paint). This time it's mechanics from seablock and IR3's steam era (i.e. routing pipes to everything). How Wube gets away with selling a repackaged mash-up from free ...

Re: Friday Facts #432 - Aquilo
tbh, the sound of the railgun kinda hurts my ears.
I don't like the dingging part of the sound and prefer it emphasized the thump more (one of the versions sounds ok)
hopefully we can get some modded soundpacks for things like that.
edit: ooh, actually, kinda feel like maybe the railgun should ...

Re: Friday Facts #408 - Statistics improvements, Linux adventures
All of these updates are pretty cool; and I understand their intended for "factorio 2" (or rather, a DLC it seems)
the base game is more then sufficiently developed in my book to warrant you guys moving on....but do you guys have *any* kind of ETA on when all of this will be available to play?

Re: [0.17+] Warptorio2
the warp reactor seems far too weak to me; dispite using a *far* more powerful fuel at 4x the rate (160MW instead of 40), it powers only a couple turbines at full speed.

bug report, which mod?
I randomly got "[FI Error] Assembling machine (unit number 48373) has become invalid. Please report this error to the mod author"
1): I don't even know which mod this is coming from, how can I figure that out?
2): how do I figure out what that unit number is?
bonus: does somebody know what this ...
