Re: [0.16.5] Crash on connecting two electrical networks
Can confirm this happens on 16.5. I reconnected a group of small poles to the power network using a medium pole, and the game crashed immediately on placement. 24460.064 Error CrashHandler.cpp:419: Received SIGSEGV Factorio crashed. Generating symbolized stacktrace, please wait ... 24463.251 Warning...

Re: [0.14.x] [cube] Command-line options for IP and port bindings
Could you also look into adding a parameter for specifying the port? Trying to guarantee the config file is not modified is a difficult, and not as convenient. Factorio already has a parameter for specifying the port: Server options: --port N network port to use Completely unaware of that. Thank you.

Re: [0.14.x] [cube] Command-line options for IP and port bindings
So I've made a simple version of this -- when hosting a dedicated server you can use the option --bind to bind to the address. If this option is not given, then 0.0.0.0 and ::0 are used both. Also I've limited the scope of other sockets used in game. Awesome news, thank you! Could you also look int...

Re: [0.14.x] [cube] Command-line options for IP and port bindings
This becomes revalent when one is trying to host factorio in a more controlled environment. While it's not required for the game to work, most other online games either allow only binding to a single IP (commonly set through config or ini file) or do so by default. I really enjoy that factorio bind...

Re: [0.14.x] Command-line options for IP and port bindings
tldr; Factorio does not support multiple IP addresses. Factorio must run on the primary IP address of the server. Factorio listens on ALL IP addresses, which can cause bad things to happen on those other IP addresses. Possible fix: Do not listen on non-primary IP addresses. Better fix: Allow choosi...

[0.14.x] [cube] Command-line options for IP and port bindings
As a server host, these are invaluable options to have. Currently, Factorio will bind to all available addresses on a port specified in config.ini. Command-line options would make this more secure for the hosters (unable to be modified), as well as allow servers to be bound to unique addresses so th...

Re: Looking to rent a server whos company is based in the USA.
If you are still looking, I am able to set you up with whatever you need and I will give it to you for free since I need a few customers to test out the hosting besides myself. Datacenter is in NY, and you get TCAdmin control panel. The only thing I ask is that you let me know of any issues you find...

Re: Version 0.14.10
i expect 0.14.11 shorty. You expected wrong my friend... To be fair 32 bit stuff is pretty old nowadays It certainly is, but Factorio is a game which also runs on quite Old PCs. And according to the steam HW Survey ~6% of the steam Users use win7 32bit. I'm really interested in the explanation of t...

Client NAT issues with headless on dedi
Currently running a 0.13.3 headless on Linux (Debian). There are no iptables or firewall rules to interfere with anything, it's just a straight shot from box to web. The issue is that none of my clients can connect without having DMZ'd their connections. The issue occurs with or without clients on t...
