[1.1.3] Crash on launch with Scarlett 2i4 audio interface

When using my Scarlett 2i4 audio interface as the default playback device in Windows, the game crashes on startup with an error related to DSound. The game launches fine when I change my default playback device to something else. Other programs and games work fine with the device.

Oh I see, it has to be the *exact* version, not just compatible. Unfortunate.

The mods in question appear to have both 1.0 and 1.1 versions, and I can even correctly download the 1.0 versions from the in-game browser. It seems more like the game just isn't recognizing these other versions as available for download when it should be? See this mod, for example: https://mods.fac...

I can understand the game ignoring some random badly formatted mod, but shouldn't the mod have been verified to be correctly formatted when it was uploaded to the portal?

From Sindelin on the mod's discussion page: It is wrong compression method in the .zip file. It seems the built-in unzip in Factorio cannot handle this method. I have unpacked the file with latest WinRar and repacked into regular zip file. No changes into files. And it works. Also this same problem ...

I looked in the mod's zip file and the info.json seems to be missing entirely.
