Re: Is there a modpack manager for Factorio?
A lot of them went down/stopped when the game officially supported mod handling in-game. The only thing thats worth an external mod manager now is being able to launch a set of mods with factorio once.

Re: Kovarex enrichment loop
Wow yea i see, im still on 15.1. Waiting for many updates to come out before updating to preserve my phones monthly internet limit.
Looks like im gonna have to make a ton more centrifuges for upkeep when i update.
Also, ill look into a more efficient nuclear reactor design :) ive been thinking of ...

Re: Kovarex enrichment loop
You cant underground pipe through 2 reacgors, which is the intent of this current reactor setup. Im playing on the train gen preset and i havnt even needed to set up a train to get uranium yet, just working off the couple 200 to 400k spots around my base. Im fine with wasting the uranium as of right ...

Re: Kovarex enrichment loop
My design is very simple, i just use another inserter to insert the items back into the centrifuge. Any "profits" gets pushed down the line.
But im breaching the limit one belt can handle, im going to need to use robots i need to make more.
Edit: just noticed you are using efficiency modules ...

Re: When do you use logi bots?
The first use of them comes to when you get and make them. Either to make side items easily or to have your bots always fill you up with some iron plates. Both are usually the first use.
Such as making a machine on the side that requests items to make a red long inserter, something you might not ...

Re: Is the jump from science pack 2 to 3 too large?
Ive read some silly posts, people talking about things they dont understand, and more.
The way it stands, it is perfectly fine.
For a new play, sp1 is easy. Jumpibg to sp2 will require more space and time depending on the person and what they have already seen of the game. Sp3 is yes, its a big ...

I'm curious about that one weird rule, why no active chest providers?
My only assumption is you are targeting the individuals that use them to dump all their products into, and then into storage.

Re: Friday Facts #128 - Back down to earth
but wanting the game nearly implayable for the sake of challenge should not discourage 99% from the players to actually play.
If that was a response from me, people that go logistic bot bases, know and will come across problems with bots. As people with belt bases, will know of the limitations ...

Gentlemen, ladies, please stop freaking the hell out and suggesting stupid crap like requiring lubricant. All Bots require is electricity and they're still way better than this will be without some significant improvements in belt throughput.

Re: First map, ended up looking a bit like a revolver
this is really, really nice for a first save. My only complaint, because i have to lay it out, is the train network loops. (through stations are fine)
But man, my first .. i got like 14 hours and decided to make a new world, more organized with what i had learned.

I have a huge problem with the picture... the belts and ore are not moving.. AERG
But.. long term mining drills sounds great, it makes it so my off-site ore processing facility becomes even bigger!

Weird, Does it still stay that way 5 minutes later?
Is it for every chemical plant?
My first thought is, the output (the pipe) is full, But it should still produce the internal buffer...

Re: New to factorio, how should i start
I would play the first campaign, then jump on vanilla sandbox. (no mods)
And play with all default settings on map generation.
Rocket defense for factorio v0.11.22
Rocket Silo for factorio v0.12.xx (experimental version)
Play vanilla till you have made it to blue science packs, and take a decision ...
