I only run games in window mode now, and borderless fullscreen mode to those that have the option. This allows me to alt tab to my 2nd monitor without interfering with the game. So I never had a alt tab crash with factorio.
When I start factorio I maximize the window.

Showing a picture is as simple as using this button http://puu.sh/ee1ql/3be7408214.png on a direct image url. So upload pictures to a site like http://www.imgur.com, then get the direct image and paste it with the brackets around it. Pictures are fine as they are now, But... Attachments may be easie...

The bug was not being able to load the 2nd and 3rd save, it was placing the substations where the screenshot shows in the first save. I understand. A separate color over the green display should work. Because if you are using your accums, you are maxxing out your power production already. The 2nd color can represent the accums percentage used.

Every single station gets re-named for me either when i place it, or use it.

"Copper load east 1"
"#PT or #PAX copper load east 1" <-- player train station, so i can get to it on the fly without waiting for a copper train that goes to it or messing up the schedule.

I would say, ignore things that youtubers like the ones you mentioned do. Because they mostly play the game with their own ways of playing.
I'm not saying they are bad, I just think you should just play the game on your own, and then learn how you should adjust your gameplay.

i've thought about this too. I thought about a graphical user interface marking objects with a transparent color as a "group". Set your copper smelters to a orange, iron to a gray, steam engines to a blue. And some how having a way to turn it on/off.
