Yeah, 1 MJ is 1 MW for 1 second. MWh would be less useful because you rarely operate on hour timespans. Note that this is real seconds, not some strange sped-up time. I just wish it said somewhere how long a night is (and how long sunrise/sunset take) so you can calculate how much capacity you need ...

Maybe worms could be made more interesting in general by making their attacks avoidable instead of guaranteed hits. That would also allow them to be nastier vs turrets without turning biter bases into an instant death zone for players. Or make biters prioritize taking out power lines...

Shotgun spread matters less against crowds and buildings where every pellet is guaranteed to hit SOMETHING. But yeah, bullets have some advantages. Unfortunately they are completely useless against big biters and buildings.

Whenever I want to transport resources from bigger storage area, I have to use trains, as even 2 or 3 red belt highway wouldn't suffice. And once I have the home station and basic route finished, I can extend it quite easily, without worry. If I used just belts, I couldn't expand so easily, as they ...

Piercing bullets are overpriced
Piercing bullets are stupidly expensive for what little they do. 5 iron, 5 copper for a total of 50 damage (and you churn through a magazine in 2/3rds of a second with an unupgraded SMG). If bullet weapons are intended to be low tier weapons then they probably shouldn't be this expensive to fire ...

I'd use trains more if rails were cheaper but then again I'm not even willing to build red conveyors due to their high price so maybe others are less price sensitive.

Research upgrades for suit defense modules and flamer
We can upgrade practically any weapon but the defense modules and the flame thrower are exceptions. They should probably get the same damage upgrades, possibly also ROF upgrades, as other weapons and turrets. Dunno if discharge defense and laser defense should share upgrades or have their own lines.

Okay, so I haven't used trains much yet and I'm very wary of spending large amounts of resources on infrastructure but:
Train tracks cost 5.5 metal per 4 squares distance. The train itself requires fuel and some complexity for loading/unloading and turns and stuff.

I think they're not hard but tedious. Nothing seems particularly effective against big biters, everything takes forever to grind them down. They're easy to keep at bay with some slow capsules or just enough exos in your suit. Doing shotgun run-bys with a huge swarm chasing you is fun but after you ...
