Re: Friday Facts #220 - The best Friday Facts ever

That train wagon looks EPIC! I read a point, if we need to load that thing with rockets, then we're gonna need another wagon. The "inserter wagon" to take from a storage wagon behind into the railgun wagon in front. Logistics, on logistics. This really might be epic!! I'm not going to both...

Re: Since .15

I feel your pain fellow factorian. My old place had an obsurd amount of time spent on it, and was in tatters when i reloaded it. I suppose i brought it on myself i knew the mods might not update, and while i did find replacements or actual updates, it would be work to fix it all. I embrased spaghett...

Re: Since .15

I did give the game a break cos of life. It just happened to co-enside with .15 release. Recently been missing my old mass production engineering, and give it a few evenings - much to my hardship. Non the less, still missing my old mega factory and looking to beat the old production numbers - whilst...

Since .15

Ever since .15 came out, with its new recipies for everything I have not been able to get into the game. I admit i was addidcted before, but when the .15 came out there was no withdrawl lol it was like the drug was just gone. At first i told myself i'd get used to the new recipies after i launch my ...

Re: Graphics card broke

Well anyways, i cant not be playing games on the weekend, so i spent the day reading and whatnot. I purchased a 1050ti asus strix thing for Β£157 streching my budget slightly. Could have got a 1060 for a tenner moar = more cores but less memory. went with my gut since my cpu and mobo are not of this ...

Graphics card broke

Hi there, Short story: I fell asleep last night and left sim city running all night. I awoke this morning and my bedroom was an oven. I shut off sim city, made millions but was running at a loss now so will look at it later. Did my shit, came back to the computer a few hours later and booted up sim ...

Re: Train bandwidth Questions

That is true. When I first looked at the stack inserter I expected to see massive energy usage as the more it picks the more weight it's moving right? Needs more powerful motors etc but I digress.

Re: Train bandwidth Questions

I currently play with 1-8-2 trains, with enough input trains each station can keep 8 blue belts full. If I had less carriages then it would be 2 less belts for every carriage lost. If the belts went empty it's because there's no train unloading, need more input. I disagree with the stack inserter th...

Re: Factorio Release Cycle

Once you add mods to a game, beta or not the thought of an update is terrifying. Yes I'm looking forward to it, but it's gonna be annoying rounding up all the mods again to continue with my current game. Games like KSP made me restart several times, and now I can't be bothered starting again again. ...

Re: Best way to play?

Well at first I just a wanted to build a bigger and bigger factory to grind my cpu. Considering the way the game plays now I'm using said infrastructure to make the fastest high capacity factory using trains direct inserting etc lol it's not the best way to play but I likes it. Shame about the cpu c...

Re: Incentive to create and improvise/improve design.

Ia have recently started a mega base style play thinking I have it all worked out but most of my designs have changed because when I started using stations to drop off recourses I was makin loads of "busses" so ended up Avalon up to match intput (increased)

Re: Anyone Ryzen Benchmarks?

My first thought upon seeing ryzen was that as I currently have an 8350. My mega factory is running at 20 25 ups. The one core is locked at 4.2ghz the rest are chillin. We'll probably see the same in this, when they say how much "better" the cpu is they're on about multi core tasks typical...

My train suggestion list: >The UI when mouse over a train is too large for window mode, so I cant see how much exactly is in the train cargo. http://imgur.com/a/wM5Ef >I see no reason to have a permenant explanation on what a train is for and how to get in it on the UI. Wow that is crazy. I don't think I've ever got past a 32 lane belt, and i didn't bother mixing it all up, i just made an outrageous buffer at the end.

Re: Game FPS at End game

Hello forum people! First post. In my latest base, and from the outset it was designed to be ridiculously sized, I had some numbers in my head what i wanted to see on the production chart so objectives set and away I went. About 400 hours later my base is 4 times bigger than what i ever planned, I'v...
