Re: Friday Facts #360 - 1.0 is here!
Could we have items auto sorted inside vehicles like it happens in character inventory? Also in chests if possible. Having the same order of arrangement as in the character inventory would be a nice quality of life. Don't know if there's already a mod for that, if there is send link thanks

Re: Belt input balancing.
Your solution is not in the balancer that balances input but rather in coordinate better what goes into your chests of the unloading train. Keep them balanced and when thee chests unloads to a regular 8x8 balancer and all the output is used, your input should also been balanced.

Re: Friday Facts #224 - Bots versus belts
I think logistic bots shouldn't carry heavy things like iron ore, iron plates, steel plates, tanks, locomotives... but they could carry light things, like green/red/blue chips, copper cables...
This way we would need belts to carry heavy things and have logistic bots carry lighter items, because ...

You can edit a scenario like that, then play on it.

[0.16.6] Pump and boiler squeezing
I am aware we can squeeze between boilers placed together and other pumps which is fine.
The problem is why only one way?
Situation: move the player north passing through the pump and the boiler, then try to pass back from north to south.
Expected: the player should squeeze and pass between ...

Hey DanGio, did you read my other post?
viewtopic.php?f=7&t=54986
It looks like I have the same problem you have. Sometimes there's the issue, sometimes all is fine.
Are you near a dense forest area when the fps drops? What resolution you running the game?

I restarted factorio, this time I went to load the dense forest map I shared before.
Settings are just like the first one, and it has 16fps.
- Decoratives ON
- Tree sprites ON
- Video memory usage ALL
- Atlas texture size LargestPossible

Re: [16.3] low fps when near dense forest
Got it again! I mean, the fps problem, which is totally undesirable but it proves I'm not lying or going mad.
this time I started factorio and went straight to new game, set Trees to high frequency and very big size, so I could get a fancy big forest near me.
It is at 30fps. It's not as bad as only ...

Just to make things more complicated:
I was on factorio forums for some 15 min reading stuff, with factorio game closed.

Hey checksumfail, try to restart your linux and then run only factorio with decoratives on, video memory on all, atlas texture size at largest. Does it help?

Re: [16.1] Decoratives FPS drop
Managed to solve the problem by changing
Atlas texture size largest to 8192
in fact there are 3 alternatives solutions,
lowering atlas texture size,
or lowering video memory usage,
or turning off decoratives.
while keeping the rest at maximum values.
So right now I'm playing fine with 60 fps ...
