Re: Bus or not to Bus
That's exactly the issue I'm addressing, though; here's a simple example setup to demonstrate the idea: http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/102851052177380816/0FDDA51857FE70E4FA84ACE930F7AF11041A6C59/ In the image, you can see that iron has backed up since it's being consumed slower than ...

Re: Bus or not to Bus
What I do is set up a primary sorting line with the multi-output sorting methods, a secondary sorting line with the single-output sorting methods, and side-load the output of the secondary line onto the output of the primary line. That way, if I'm using (for example) iron and copper in the same rat...

Re: Bus or not to Bus
I'm moving out of the sorting that gives several types of ores to the one that gives only one. It might be less efficient on the amount of ore output but it's way easier to manage the ore supply to the melting area.

Re: Bus or not to Bus
Yeah, this is what I meant. But I'm not sure to understand your point. You cant really over product: if your belt is full, then the assembly machine won't product more (cannot export the good from the assembly machine). It's not related to keep some free space to easily increase the production later...

Re: Bus or not to Bus
Yes, I understood that. From my point of view, the issue is that the expansion should be bi directional: to the left to add more blocks and to another direction to increase the number of assembly machines on a given block (until the belt throughput is not enough to sustains more production). You do ...

Re: Bus or not to Bus
Mmm... It's really limited.... The point to have a bus is to be able to build a factory where you can easily increase the production by expending the processing area in one direction (whatever the direction). With your design, your processing area is limited in all four direction, so... how do you e...

Re: Bugs & FAQ
Well... Make steel from a regular furnace? I do not see any issue with that. It's similar for some of the Electronic assembly machine with Bob's Mod: you need advanced electronic component above what the previous level of electronic assembly machine can make. You need to use a regular assembly machi...

Re: Development and Discussion
Oh yes new warfare! Bob's warfare is wonderful to defend a base, but there is nothing really efficient to attack... and that's annoying! I need to clean the bitters close to my base.

I also have 4 silo full of stone, 2 full of stone brick, 1 of water filling... Seriously, with about 50 crushers MK3 the crushed stone production is way too high in regard of your factory stone usage. The cellulose recipes will be a additional drain, but clearly it won't really fix the issue... esp...

Re: Development and Discussion
The only way you can have enough iron/copper/tin/thelastone plates is to smelt the corresponding crushed mineral in addition to the ore melting. Using Angel's Smelting can improve the plate output from ore, but it won't prevent the usage of the default crushed mineral completely (and yes, it will ta...

I show that too a few days ago... I decided to use the Angel's version but, yeah, it's kind of weird to have both choice.

Re: Development and Discussion
The smelting steps are faster if going at full throughput, vanilla plates recipes are 1 per 3,5 seconds, casting machines will pump out 2 per 4 seconds. Also yes it's to expand later to make alloys from ingots, so there will be different steel mixtures, another things is you can get interesting set...

Re: Development and Discussion
In petrochem, is there any way to use/crack acid gas without using the green metal catalyst? I can't find any other recipe that uses it and I didn't want to use silver and aluminum on it until later in my playthrough (since I don't have either yet) Guess I just void it? My option is one storage tan...

Re: Bugs & FAQ
There is no recipe for vanilla plastics, but it is needed for all vanilla/bob recipes and then there are 3 angels petrochem plastics that as far as I can tell, aren't used in any recipes at all. I had the same reaction yesterday. From what I have been answered (see a few post above) the name is dif...

Re: Bugs & FAQ
I do not see how to transform that to classic plastic bar. It's kind of annoying... The petrochem plastic gives you the classic one. Just the crafting recipe icon is different. Well, at least it worked like that a couple of minor versions ago Mmm... I was expecting the change in the recipes showing...

Re: Bugs & FAQ
I'm stuck... Where are the damned Plastic Bar with Petrochem ?! Now I can do plastic propane, but I do not see how to transform that to classic plastic bar. It's kind of annoying... I cannot do the advanced electronic board without it (the white ones).

Re: Bugs & FAQ
The in-game is annoying when you want to install multiple mods, but for the updates it's fine. I just make a copy of my mods to my server. rsync do a wonderful job for that :) . I just found this and tossed it into the server. Haven't had a chance to test, but it looks good. Nice setup with cron, t...
