According to the translation strings, there will be possible to change color of locomotive from the gui.
Each train with the different color :)
If true, that would be awesome!! Then I could see which train it is at a glance without opening the GUI! :D

Re: Friday Facts #144 - The gfx report
Anyone else noticed the new inserters have double wide arms?
Are those the graphics for the stack rapid inserters? That must mean that all of the inserters, like the chests, might be smart! :) (It would be illogical to have two green-colored inserters.)
P.S. I don't remember seeing this ...

Re: Friday Facts #143 - Nat Punching Again
Wube could follow our practice, however, and release nightly builds of the new version with the caveat that they are not guaranteed to be stable. That way mod developers can begin to make sure their mods are compatible before release date.
That would be nice. I already asked devs for no-stability ...

Re: Friday Facts #143 - Nat Punching Again
I'm saddened. At least there is now a definite probable release date set. I really wish that the release date was before the Steam Summer Sale; now, Factorio will have competition with whatever games I get during the sale... :|
Hopefully, due to the delays, my first experience with the 0.13 ...

Re: Friday Facts #142 - Playtesting
While waiting for the coming Friday.... did anyone notice the shadow angle of the wall (or gate?) is different from the other objects? Most of the shadow is point to east, but the wall's is 45degree rotated.
Yeah... Albeit unrealistic, I guess that allows you to see the shadow of a long ...

Re: Friday Facts #142 - Playtesting
For all of you wondering about the crane graphic, it's most likely the "Train Station" mentioned in FFF 138 :
Train Station - read the contents of the stopped train and control trains by disabling/enabling the station
If so, then I would assume that it would read all of the items in the train ...

Re: Friday Facts #142 - Playtesting
There is suspicious amount of wires around the rails. My guess that this would be more like counting/redirecting station for trains, or cargo reader. It also might be rail power connector, for electrical train engines?

Re: Friday Facts #142 - Playtesting
I wouldn't recommend having armors themselves give inventory space, unless the armor research itself gave space that was permanent and totally independent of the armor.
It could also be something where the extra inventory slots are hidden until the player first puts on the armor, which then ...

Re: Friday Facts #142 - Playtesting
Anyway, the point is: with the bonus inventory slots, I guess now I'll have to be careful to never use them because I'll end up dropping everything when switching armor sets. Sigh.
That was my first thought also. I wonder if the armor inventory would be visually separate from the player's main ...

Re: Friday Facts #142 - Playtesting
I wonder, with the chests getting circuit connections, is there' a point to having the smart chest?
I thought they said in one of their FFFs that they would be removing the smart chest? I might be wrong, though.
EDIT: Here.
All types of chests can be connected to the circuit network. Smart ...

Liking the armor inventory space bonuses! Wish the update would have been released this week, but as long as the time is being used to make a more polished update. :) I just hope that the 0.13 update is released before the Steam Summer Sale begins... ;)

Re: Why I really hate/dislike the game
I haven't done much of the campaign besides what was in the demo, so I don't have anything to add.
Peaceful mode! I would certainly recommend that for new players to the game - On my first "sandbox" game, I originally had peaceful mode off, but enabled it soon afterwards. Due to the importance of ...
