Better copying of BPs

TL;DR Add a hot-key to toggle the behaviour of copying BPs from the manager to the player. What ? Allow for easier copying of BPs from the manager to the players inventory. I'm always moving BPs from the shared repository to my game, then find out in new games that my BPs in my shared repository is...

Re: [Mod 0.14/0.15] Logistic Train Network 1.2.8

You could say that all fluid trains are one length, and all solid trains are another length, and just set both min and max train length I would think? Theoretically, that would work, but still very limiting as your factor is against the train length, not what the train consists of. So for every uni...

Re: [Mod 0.14/0.15] Logistic Train Network 1.2.8

The train encoding is an output only. It doesn't use it to filter which kinds of trains can go to the station. (there's lots of discussion of this in the thread and it's currently listed as a "will not implement" in the main post). Somehow I missed the output functionality. Alright, so I'...

Re: [Mod 0.14/0.15] Logistic Train Network 1.2.8

Makes sense, but if I have an LFL hauling oil around, your suggestion isn't going to work with the LCF.

[EDIT -- Changing ECF to LCF]

Re: [Mod 0.14/0.15] Logistic Train Network 1.2.8

I love this mod. Makes managing the rail system oh so much easier. But I seem to be having a problem with using different train structures, in that, even when I specify the train layout via the encoded positions, I still get trains going to the wrong stations. For instance, I have an ECCC train, whi...

[MODED] Loader/Unloader Balancer

[LONG post -- But this goes through my process as this is the longest I've played a particular Factorio map. As this is a long post, I've use the SPOILERS tag generously] Yes, this is modded. Prior to my coming to the forums to see what other station balancers are out there, I came up with my own ve...

[FOUND/No Longer Req'd] Alert when train out of fuel

The Fat Controller does what I need it to do, without being too overbearing. I found Logistic Train Network after the fact, and have all my trains associated to fill up while waiting for a new job, so I kind of solved my problem. However, this Fat Controller does add an extra layer of awareness to w...

[Request] Alert when train out of fuel

I've looked at the mod portal for a mod or mod pack that'll tell me when a train is out of fuel, or getting low. Anyone know of such a beast?

Re: The mod portal was a nice experiment... end it please?

+ 1 vote for the mod portal because I prefer a ticket based boards to arrange tasks and discuss suggestions. It saves my time in contradistinction to long threads on forums. People who want what you want, which includes myself, can host their mod source code on github and use Issues there. Source c...

Re: The mod portal was a nice experiment... end it please?

I, for one, like the idea of having a discussion based on the mod itself, tagged WITH the mod download page, instead of buried within a forum of many mod discussions. If I have trouble with Mod A, I don't want to have to filter through posts about Mod B to Z. I can open up the Mod A page, and see th...

Re: Oil collection - train or pipe?

I've not played a map that goes thousands of blocks away (Meaning 4, 5, or 6) but I have played several larger maps to get to that lucrative oil field. I find trains to be awesome at getting the ores, but, for oil cans specifically, I use drones and hook up the drone facilities along the way. Expens...

Re: Friday Facts #43

It's GREAT that MP is coming out, but, I have my reservations about performance. From the description of what the communication is going to be between clients, why are you going a token-ring kind of network communication topology? The more people you throw into the mix, the worse latency is going ge...

Re: (Not really) f***ing allegro!

Copy/Paste may not be compatible, but, what about just exporting relevant data to a plain text file, instruct the user with a link in the UI to open the text file, similar to how MC and other apps do? I sometimes dislike when a program automatically launches programs, but if I actively click the lin...
