I load the game, loading screen displays, it gets to 10% loaded, and then crashes. completely vanilla, not one mod. unable to post log file, as i can no longer find it (as in, it has disappeared from where it should be). using an unregistered windows 7. the commands im attempting are in the link ...

sorry DaveMcW, that doesnt help, as i cannot get into the config file, and the CMD will not accept either command

also, most attempts will result in 'sprite acid-splash-3 (or whatever its called)' failing to load correctly

the title says it all, I'd love to give you everything in the .dat file, but i cannot open it. unless this is a known problem, this may be a challenge.
