Re: RTS direction
I really enjoy RTS style games. One thing we'd need are more enemy types. For example, a slowly spawning but powerful alien soldier. It would also be interesting if aliens had "leader" units like the Brain Bugs from Starship Troopers (great sci-fantasy movie). If we had more enemies, it wo...

Re: [Polls] Creepers in the demo
Get a "Peaceful" and "Normal" difficulty setting then :) With room for extensions in the form of "Easy" and "Hard". But the campaign is trivial without creepers. I guess that on "Peaceful" the level win dialogue should say something like "Level...

Re: [Not a Bug] Furnance off grid.
That would prevent the player from going between the furnaces. It's really nice and useful to be able to go though my furnace line. I love being able to walk between furnaces, it's a necessity. Without that I'd be in conveyor belt hell. Maybe the size of furnaces should be changed to 1x1 so it matc...

Re: the demo don't work :(
Just did a fresh download to check, the demo does work for me. (downloaded 64 bit .exe installer) So it must be some issue with your specific systems. I can still run the game from the ZIP file download, but I get that error message when I install it. Mranth0ny62: What happens when you download the...

[Win] Demo player 2.8 Run Failure
The install appears to run correctly but once you try to run the demo application, it fails with this install error: "Content Title: Failed to Install Audio." The the application closes. http://img812.imageshack.us/img812/742/51487386.jpg The OS I'm using is a Win 7 Home 64-bit, SP 1, Inte...

Re: the demo don't work :(
What is your OS and System Specs? Edit: I can confirm that both the 32-bit and 64-bit version of the Windows Demo seem to be broken. http://img812.imageshack.us/img812/742/51487386.jpg When installation finishes and the application is launched, it says "Content Title: Failed to Install Audio.&q...

Re: [Polls] Creepers in the demo
I like the idea of being able to turn them on and off, being able to try playing it as a free play sort of thing, just experimenting with factory setups, or doing a survival thing. You can do that already by using the Map Editor and creating a Custom game. Set it up so enemies don't bother you. But...

Re: Repair building / robot?
Robotic Helpers would probably be the next highest attack priority for Creepers, next to the player. I like the way repairing is done currently, but maybe someday it will be more involved; like a Wrench icon to repair when you click on it (and it would take X seconds to repair per damage bar). The R...

Re: Electric energy
I posted this in the thread about underground mining, but I think Geothermal power would be really useful.
It's like a more powerful version of coal-based steam-power without the need to use coal at all.

Re: Hidden ores
Later in the game (advanced technologies would be needed for this), the player could start with underground mining, this would have 2 phases. Searching for resources Underground resources wouldn't be so easy to spot, the player would have to do special drills to scan the nearby underground, when he...

Re: [Polls] Creepers in the demo
It's a survival game, so enemies are expected to be deadly. That's part of the fun.
I do think there should eventually be more enemy types though. And more advanced enemies.

Re: Idea: Player upgrades
It makes sense, since the game is about technology and research. It might be interesting to eventually be able to upgrade the character with cybernetic implants and better equipment. It might be nice to be able to increase player run speed, add night-vision optics, increase melee damage and speed. A...

Re: Reduce the Creeper spawner rate
I agree with a lot of the feedback in this thread. But I just completed the current campaign and the last two levels only took me two tries each. For me, that difficulty level is perfect and I wouldn't want it to me lowered. In survival games, dying is a major source of fun and challenge. If the wor...

Map Editor Help
I'm trying to figure out a way to use the Map Editor.
What is the hot-key to place the "Player" ?
Edit: Nevermind, I just read somewhere that you have to press "E" to do everything in the Editor.
