Using artifacts as a form of high-yield universal fuel would keep them being valuable yet not essential, while alleviating the oil shortage slightly. Then the ratio of drops/nests can just be tweaked to keep it all balanced. I have to say I way prefer still using boilers and steam engines for power ...

In all the discussion about artifacts, nobody is mentioning the fantastic looking artwork shown!

I've been looking forward to some new HD artwork like the menu screen, and am loving the sample shown here :)

When will be map generation fixed? I have oil only in start location (and only a few). Tons of enemies everywhere. It's quite frustrating game now :( I've found that while there is normally only a little bit of oil near start and none more in sight, there are generally a few decent fields a little ...

Am I the only one that doesn't mind the terrain generation? It's certainly shaken up a bit, but I find that interesting. Haha this is a funny error.... We ran into a desync loop, then started googling. 5 mins later... "er were you by any chance trying to place an offshore pump?" "yes, why?" "AHA!!!"

It has already been said, but I'd like to chuck my hat in with this idea re rapid inserters: being able to limit the stack size on individual inserters. For reasons such as moving copper cables into circuit assemblers. People complaining about the nerf to reds... Well maybe the devs are also working...
