Re: Obtaining stone from space
Don't forget, AFAIK, the main application at hand is making furnaces, not roads. And maybe military/production science.
This is true for stone and stone bricks, but refined concrete is just a tile, it's not an ingredient to any building, hence why I drew an analogy between refined concrete ...

Re: Disable new radar behaviour

Re: Obtaining stone from space
Concrete specifically needs calcium containing stones.
I wonder if asphalt concrete could be a good stand-in for some applications in Factorio where concrete is usually used. The recipe could be approximated (very roughly) using petroleum processing of some kind. I imagine asphalt concrete is ...

+1 It always felt odd that so many other basic resources come from space rocks, but I couldn't get the most basic of basic materials from them...

Re: Friday Facts #445 - The Biters Bite Back
Idea: when nests absorb pollution, there is an ever-increasing chance that a 'builder' will spawn to increase the size of that nest.
That would incentivize players to A) reduce pollution and/or B) deal with biter nests within their pollution cloud before they fill their entire area and produce ...
