I can accept that it's not what the devs intended and potentially harms the balance of the game, but alternate ways to interact with the mechanic should be swapped out rather than stomped out. I'm indifferent to the space casino being removed really, as far as I know you can still build them with Recyclers and get the same result but with a far higher loss of input materials that is more in line with the balance the devs originally had in mind.
