Thank you for replying to my bug report.
It's always sad to see qol features be canceled but the community has spoken.

I understand it must feel wierd leaving a bug like this. I think the best description for it would be "Left in a Quantum state".

When using the new belt placing feature introduced in 2.0.62
When dragging belts, going forward and back will remove the extra belts built.

If you go back beyond the point you started drag placing, then go forwards again and use smart placing to make a turn the belts will be backwards
