MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Late 2013)
NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2 GB
The latest update completely shot performance and the game is pretty much unplayable now on lowest settings. Used to run perfectly fine on medium-high settings back in 1.x. Ever since 2.0 the game has also been really laggy in the ...

Re: Graphical Issues on Wayland (Linux)
Didn't Factorio migrate from SDL2 to SDL3 recently? Could that have had an impact?

Re: Experimental Biter expansion too strong
Could you not balance expansion size against evolution level? Have the expansions start out small at first and end up gigantic at max evolution. That makes the forward expansions less egregious in the early game and still not trivial later on.

Re: [Klonan] [2.1] Enemies not expanding to chunks with any player building
So after a while the expansion just stops completely? This doesn't seem right.
On the contrary it seems exactly right. It never sat right with me how the map would completely fill in with nests after having been explored or revealed by radar. It felt arbitrary and frustrating from a gameplay ...

Re: Is it possible to make science pack that also works as a different science pack?
Presuming using science packs as recipe ingredients is allowed, you could make it possible to assemble Pack A using Pack B as an ingredient. It's more rigid than your idea, but it does allow you to cascade down from more complicated packs into simpler ones for example.

Re: Belt upgrade planner
You can do the same with deconstruction planners. I always keep a few in my library, one for only trees and cliffs, and one for everything except large electric poles, roboports and lights (to clear city blocks).

Re: [2.0.72] Underground didn't remove belts if there is another belt point to it
Surely this is intended behaviour; seems perfectly sensible. Belts are only removed when they are in a straight line with no other interactions. This is great because it means you can just drag belts around willy-nilly without breaking already existing spaghetti.

Here you go.
I was wrong, though. It's actually Metal 1. I must have been hallucinating last time I checked cause I could have sworn it said Metal 2. Sorry about that. Either way, if it should work on any version that shouldn't matter.
But it probably does.

[Strangepan][2.0.60] Black screen on old mac using metal
What did you do?
I switched to the Metal backend and restarted the game.
What happens?
The screen goes completely black on startup except for the system cursor. Steam FPS counter also doesn't show. The startup jingle plays, and after nominal loading time (or possibly a bit quicker than usual ...
