Nevermind, the issue has resolved itself. Likely that my ISP has assigned me a new IP address.

Accidently I connected a refinery with a longer one, and even though the pipe section triggered an alert, the refinery received the oil, which was put in by an oil mine from the exact other end of the pipe.

If you let the refinery run for a bit, it will shut down eventually as the pipeline has ...

[2.0.76] Cannot connect to multiplayer.factorio.com

I used to be able to access the server list perfectly fine for many months, but it stopped working a few days ago.
When I try to access the server list from "Browse public games", I get the following error:

firefox doesn't show anything and is mostly right to do so "<a href="/mod/heart-attack/discussion/6749ea4542705fa9914f6201" title="γ…€">γ…€</a>". title IS empty.

The title of the linked thread isn't actually empty, it just isn't visible because it consists of two spaces.

That seem a good topic for a future FFF, given the several rounds of optimizations that occured, and the cryptic curves on the factoriopedia that leaves players wondering if the m is for minutes or meter endlessly.

Steam engines and turbines do work in space. Neither the steam engine nor the steam turbine have any construction surface conditions, so they can be placed anywhere, even in space.

I was curious, and I looked at the prototype data https://github.com/wube/factorio-data/blob/d7accb4077ef7b000298d327e974f94467d39bb8/space-age/prototypes/entity/entities.lua#L791 but I can't work out why it doesn't let you flip it.
I don't want to cheat so I can't be bothered trying to work it ...

What did you do?
1. This was done with a mod that gives wood a burnt result (ash).
2. I placed a burner inserter, which starts with a small amount of initial wood fuel inside of it.
3. I let the inserter move items until it ran out of fuel.
