Probably should turn off factorio and let it update more often then.Deadly-Bagel wrote:So, turns out, 0.15.7 includes a fix for this so used fuel cells are output only when all the fuel is consumed.

Re: Small nuclear controll
So, after fiddling a bit I managed a real dopey solution. I had a series of problem with my RS latches. If the run condition flipped during a reactor cycle it would insert a new core before the old one was complete. Or it would not start until the next next phantom cycle would begin. Things I learne...

Re: Throttling Nuclear Reactors; control rods research?
The main reason for throttling a nuclear plant is load following mode, to maintain the grid at a stable frequency, and preferably at a planned schedule, since they are slow to adjust, you cant just get 20% extra for a minute because biters attack, so if the reactor in factorio did load following, w...

Re: Throttling Nuclear Reactors; control rods research?
I like the idea of fuel getting passed around between reactors allowing for more designs. Can't figure how it would work. Maybe neighbors could share common input/output stockpiles. Also would be easier if reactors would give up their reactor fuels like the old boilers used to for fuel. This way you...

Re: train braking force
I dont feel like being able to slow down faster (achieve a greater negative acceleration) is useful im a math-y person so I would be ok with some math on how big of an effect it is It is very useful for large train networks, with many stops and trains. The reason is 2 fold. #1. Lower stopping dista...

Re: RailTanker moving too slow?
One of your locos is backwards, also are both fueled? Don't know how much that would change things, also fuel type now determines top speed in 0.15.x I noticed that my tankers are sluggish to get to top speed but they do get there. Rolling 2-6, 1-1, and 2-2 on coal, as compared to same form factor o...

Re: 0.15 Reactor Ratio
I've tried just about everything I can think of to get the loading inserter to work to load one fuel. I never do see an option to actually set the stack size, what exactly does this setting do? I had trouble with this too... been fussing over it for a while. 1. Timer should start and proc a fuel lo...

Natives of planet refered to as 'aliens'
I know this is gonna, anger people / blow minds / sound pedantic. But technically the Bitters and Spitters in game and the artifacts they drop are natives of this planet.
The player character is the alien.
Anyway, just a thought.
