Re: How to upcycle?
I see, L3 assemblies are tricky x) , i have done a recycling loop for them once, but it was on Fulgora, and i had another chain to make them from legendary material and it was much faster.
I have yet to try the underground pipe for upcycling "iron plate" possibly on Vulcanus, my intuition ...

Re: How to upcycle?
Then someone said "underground belt are better" but when hearing the arguments, i think they are made up, it's the same person who said "recycling stone furnace" for "almost infinite stone" was a good idea so i believe that person doesn't have a good understanding of the game, and when looking at ...

Re: How to upcycle?
when you recycle underground pipes, you'll get both pipes and some iron. You can then make more pipes from that iron (in a assembly plant), which will give you slight boost. The whole question is, whether this boost is enough to get pass the problem with the double recycling. Because if you get ...

Re: Legendary Mech Armor
Believe me or not, but my first run of space age I get one lucky legendary mech armor from normal ingredient with my second or third tech armor (I didn't pay attention to the machine and forget to limit ouput and when I looked they was like one rare 2-3 normal and one legendary) and if I remember ...

Re: How to upcycle?
I agree that it "sounds" like a better option to me, due to molten iron being used as input and immediatly aquiring the quality of the pipes.
I actually think that's a negative, but am assuming it's probably somewhat moot.
The influx of molten iron does not get you anything new. Most other ...

Re: How to upcycle?
What ?!! That makes no sense, in one case you need double the number of recycler and their modules to achieve the same level of production. That does matter !
What else could matter ? the iron is coming from lava to me it's only the size of the build, its cost, and how much it can produce per ...

Maybe If you wanna one shot the big demolisher.jdrexler75 wrote: Sun May 18, 2025 11:31 am Is there a reason to keep researching Railgun damage buffs? They one-shot everything anyway, so it just seems like more overkill. (Shooting speed is another matter of course.)

Re: How to upcycle?
But since underground pipe recycle twice as fast, you get faster iron with underground pipe ! Just looking at the quantity of material for 100 piece recycled is not enough to conclude which one is "better" ! If you consider how much iron you get per second with the same number of recycler, in one ...

Re: How to upcycle?
So underground pipes require less machines and less power and less modules less intermediates and less UPS ?
Why are underground belt any better ? why not fast underground belt or underground pipe ?
As I wrote before, recycling 100 underground pipes = 94 iron, recycling 100 undergroud belts ...

Re: How to upcycle?
You can recycle pipes and use the iron to make underground pipes after you use quality modules on foundries for pipes and underground pipes, I don't see the problem in using them for upcycling.
Upcycling typically means producing - recycling - producing. Because you can't produce quality pipes ...

Re: How to upcycle?
You can use quality module in the foundry though. And time is an important consideration too, underground pipe are twice as fast to make compared to underground belts.
You can't upcycle pipes. You can make higher quality by using modules, but you can't use them for upcycling. And no, underground ...

Re: Is it possible to synchronize circuits between 2 planets without using mods ?
I don't understand why you'd ask what precision is required and what is the purpose when it's expressed in the first post
It isn't expressed anywhere, but it doesn't matter. Your description in the reply to Tertius was somewhat vague, so i asked, I don't understand why you were so buthurt about ...

Re: How to upcycle?
You can make pipes in a foundry too, and undergroud pipes even, do you think underground belt are better ?
Pipes use just the molten iron, so they can't be made in higher quality. Underground pipes can, because they also need pipes on the input and quality of those will dictate the baseline ...

As i understand your post is useless, because the question was already answered and you are just repeating one of the way that didn't work.

Re: How to upcycle?
I was making L3 assembling machines. Their baseline requirement is a little more copper than iron, but the copper is mostly in the form of cable where I have a big productivity bonus while the iron is a mix of plate (no bonus at all) and sprockets (much smaller productivity bonus). I suspect ...

First of all, why? And how precise do you need it to be?

Re: Legendary Mech Armor
but what if you already have holmimn plates?
OP specifically said that they don't. But if you do, good options are upcycling processing units or asteroids, you could combine that with batteries, accumulators or low density structures. Something that can be made in EM plant, cryo plant or foundry ...

I imagined this as a clock on a platform. This would output its tick as, say, a request for red squares. This signal could be intercepted from a silo reading orbital requests (there may be signal delay to compensate for), so as the ...

Re: Is there a way to change a planets seed or how should I play without tungsten?
I was checking in the editor and while I didn't find any seeds as bad as mine, I found ~5 out of 35 looked like you probably have to deal with a medium demolisher for your second patch. The only one I checked it was a small and starter had almost 300k but clearly my seed is still well within ...

Re: Legendary Mech Armor
I also believe this is based on misunderstanding. If you have 25% chance of making a legendary armor from "epic material", and the attempt cost you 200 plates, and you already have plenty of "rare" holmium plate. you're not 10 hours and millions of plate away from the legendary armor.
You have ...
