Lightning doesn't need a ground plate, dirt is just fine. Ok so you think it doesn't need a ground plate? ... You say dirt is fine? Well...

Please improve car driving when on latency! You have manged so well to hide latency that I almost never think about it. The three exceptions I can think of are: 1. Biters are not where you think they are, and often when fighting you teleport around a lot. 2. Getting run over by a train after having...

Lazer should have a max tracking speed, dependent on the amount of "radar coverage".

Also, you should move to Vulcan instead of new opengl (i know don't give me grief)

It doesn't want to keep High graphical settings. on, it turns back to normal, and tells me "configs have been reseted" every time I restart the game. EDIT! After deleting my config file, I'm getting error "Value must be a dictionary in property tree at ROOT.other" LOL =D I was la...

what do the steam engines do in this setup? Turn secondary "cold" water in to motion? What is needed in my oppinion, - High pressure pipe system, for high pressure steam - thing to dissipate heat, read make steam water again. for the closed loop water, as obviously we can't make irradiated...

Re: Friday Facts #160 - Playtesting

I'm sorry, most of the proposed changes are just making the factory have a smaller foot print and makes the game eazy mode... The need to 100 personal robots is useless. The need for lessening build time and lessening resources needed for building anything is useless. The need for even slower robots...

Peak was around 400 players, then server started to choke.. my question is that would it be possible to make 2 headless client server, lets say 1 in US and second in EU and make them priority update state sender receiver, and make it somehow 2 peer to client setup. the server would then share the up...

Re: Electric energy

Actually the idea of an electric pole taking energy is not far off from real life. In real life, there are two kinds of electric current. Alternating Current (AC) and Direct Current (DC). Assuming that the steam engine puts out Direct Current, I can safely say that everything in the base is run off...

Yes solar power is OP atm (end game item). there is now drawback except darkness and once you have enoufgfhg batteries you can over come that. Like I once suggested Solar panels should get dirty and start dropping their energy output, to combat this you have robots that clean the panels. (for examp...

Re: Electric energy

While a pollution-free nuclear reactor makes sense from a realism perspective, I don't think it fits that late-game energy generation is unavoidably green. Like, it should be an option, but not the best option unless you're specifically going for low pollution, and currently solar is the best for e...

Re: Actual laser turret

In IRL we have 2 kinds of lazers, Chemical and Electrical

Chemical Lazers are more powerful than Electric Lazers

If there would be an implementation of chemical lazer to the game you would need large wads of chemicals to use from..

Also I believe electric lazers need cooling water...
