Re: A weaker, non-spoilable Nutrient to kickstart Gleba

Regular assemblers can make use of the nutrients-from-spoilage recipe, and spoilage doesn't spoil. It's not an efficient recipe but it gives you the ability to "bootstrap" your biochambers even if your normal nutrient loop fails for any reason.

Re: [2.0.13] percent_spoiled applies additively in recipes with spoilable ingredients

What happens if you set 'result_is_always_fresh' on the recipe while there is a non-zero 'percent_spoiled' on the result item?

I'm sure you have already seen it, but the Any Planet Start mod provides a nice way to enjoy the new planets without needing to do any space stuff. It's also quite challenging, because you won't be starting with any technologies unlocked and you're limited to the resources available on that planet. ...

Re: Gleba is a problem

I used the "Any Planet Start" mod to begin the game on Gleba, and wow it is quite the experience! Pollution output doesn't matter on this planet, so you can enjoy an extended "burner phase" of the game without worry. There is plenty of hand-minable iron and copper ore and vast qu...
