Do you have any items checked in the F4 debug options "always" tab?
Factorio is heavily dependent on memory speed and latency. Do you and your friend have the same motherboard, memory, and BIOS settings? Do you both have discrete graphics cards?
Only fps is shown always.
Memory is both 32GB ...

I am playing in a multiplayer world with 2 friends, and I have much worse performance then they have.
I know I can alter game speed, but I would prefer not to for obvious reasons.

If you have steam cloud enabled, disable it first.
Then, navigate to your save file location
On windows, it's "%appdata%\factorio\saves"
On linux, it's (probably) "~/.factorio/saves"
Then, find your world save, it's name should be "<name-of-your-world>.zip".
Unzip it with a new folder name ...
