is there a way to dynamically set logistics requests on space platforms?

I'm trying to import a bunch of iron plate to make ammo on my ship because smelting asteroids would mean a 70 minute stop to replenish, but the second it leaves the hub it just asks for more. I want to get 4 launches of plates and then have it stop, even if those plates are then being used

what on eearth does "asteroids per meter" mean?

is it per meter of width of your craft? is it per meter traveled? neither of these seem to make sense when you math it out

place down a blueprint of any building and set a recepie in it. right click the module into the module slot, delete the blueprint

I made a ghost foundry, placed a speed module 1 in it while trying to see if I could set modules in a ghost, then later deleted the ghost and my speed module along with it.
