Revisiting this post because I noticed that with enough bots in your network, this issue does not occur.
While I might be missing some underlying logic, I still believe this to be a bug.

When inputting signals into the decider combinator, it correctly displays from which wire the signal originates.
However, when doing the same with an arithmetic combinator, it instead displays the combined total.
