Re: Please, DO NOT remove space casino
why i linked the mod i use atm, it revert the change , https://mods.factorio.com/mod/bring-back-space-casino , it's not as downloaded as one could have expected from what would have been a huge discontent.
I'm guessing a lot of us are still on 2.0 and see little reason to "upgrade", especially ...

Re: Please, DO NOT remove space casino
2.1 is out and it seems like Wube really just couldn't care less about our feedback after all, so I hope the space casino haters are happy now - it's completely dead, doesn't matter if you grind a hundred mil science for asteroid productivity. I'll stick to 2.0.77, it just works and it's not ...

Re: Please, DO NOT remove space casino
This patch is more or less prove that the developers are more or less totally disconnected from the players, the ignorance of the real issues with the quality mod and the half hearted buff to trains are testament to this, calming concrete recycle times work as indented, then double down on this ...

Re: Please, DO NOT remove space casino
I'm saying the whole thing cleanly separates into two distinct parts: "how I get the basic resources" and "how I improve the quality". The space casino isn't interesting (in the sense of having a variety of builds) for improving quality; it's interesting as a way to get resources.
But the space ...

Re: Friday Facts #443 - More Planet Deliveries
So I guess that's it for 2.1. The one significant addition to the game we're getting is space logistics. Everything else is minor QoL and visual tweaks. Really makes it feel like 2.1 exists just as a slap in the face for people who enjoyed playing with space casinos, especially with how Wube ignored ...

Re: Please, DO NOT remove space casino
(and honestly anyone who argue space casino is hard to do is blind)
"Hard" is subjective, but it's certainly harder to design a space casino than an upcycler.
All of the challenge is just in the "make an asteroid farming operation" right?
You're not positing that "turn these asteroids into ...

Re: Please, DO NOT remove space casino
Space factory is a big trouble for factorio, specially now they give us trading between platform, space platform remove most of the logistic problem, you have one unit that do what you want it to do and you can scale just by copy paste the ship, without any logistical challenge that come with this ...

Re: Friday Facts #442 - Flip, Flow, and Fresh Paint
these comments are so lame. I guess all games have these type of entitled, toxic, know-it-all players. maybe you guys should ban together and make a better game since you apparently have all the answers? How arrogant do you have to be to be talking down to the developers of one of the best games ...

Re: Friday Facts #442 - Flip, Flow, and Fresh Paint
People use space casino cause exactly was boring solution to logistic problem and it is easy to setup and bypass biggest points of quality. People want easy rewards without putting any work to getting them.
How is the intended solution to quality any less boring?
Factorio is easy to mod so ...

Re: Friday Facts #442 - Flip, Flow, and Fresh Paint
The Space Casino nerf is extremely disappointing. It was one of the few places where you could apply a creative solution to quality.
We don't want to be fun killers, but it just makes any other approach to quality obsolete.

Re: [Hrusa][2.0.7] Low FPS when looking at ghost entities
It runs the game (pre-Space Age, at least) surprisingly well, usually at a stable 60FPS. The low resolution helps a lot.
Should I make a separate thread for the electric mining drill FPS issue, which wasn't present pre-2.0?

Re: [2.0.7] Low FPS when looking at ghost entities
I'm experiencing the same issue. Something similar happens with electric mining drills as well - low FPS when zoomed in, high FPS when zoomed out, and the effect compounds with blueprints of drills. The issue is not present on an order version of the game. My computer isn't the beefiest, but I know ...
