I did as you said, newest version, no Steam in the background... in any case, it crashes all the same. Here is the log:

Oh, and I forgot to ask: is there any repository where I can download the previous version? I am not all that interested in a technical solution as to keep on playing the good old Factorio and I'm quite happy to do it as have been doing it - with the previous version
