Re: Inserters: Why are filters getting baked in, but stacks are separated?
Am I to understand this suggestion as simply "cut the green inserter and replace it with a global tech"? That is not at all what this suggestion is about. Maybe this part is introducing confusion then : I feel both filtering and stacking could be a technology unlock, and the tiers of inse...

Re: Inserters: Why are filters getting baked in, but stacks are separated?
Am I to understand this suggestion as simply "cut the green inserter and replace it with a global tech"? Seems silly. This would give you burner/regular/long inserters with 12 hand size and cut the requirement to get oil from bulk insertion unless you moved the tech further down the tech ...

Re: The Blueprint Hub
Certainly, if someone tries to make a version of this suggestion and finds it to be impossible for some unfixable reason, I would have reasonable alternative than to believe them and their documentation unless I was willing to test it myself. However, without any evidence either way, I don't think ...

Re: The Blueprint Hub
I don't want to assume what insight you might have into my thoughts, but let me illuminate them further, if only to confirm any suspicions of my devious intentions you might have. In the original suggestion, the blueprint hub is described as working thus: ... something somewhat like steam workshop,...

Re: The Blueprint Hub
Do you mean to imply in your comment that there is only one correct way to play the game? I feel that can reasonable be inferred, but I don't want to put words in your mouth or argue about a point you aren't making. I take the liberty to answer on Loewchen's behalf, because I know exactly what he m...

Re: Inserters: Why are filters getting baked in, but stacks are separated?
That's the issue with people suggesting ameliorations for things they haven't even tried : The devs have played continuously what they were designing along the development process, selecting what felt best for the game. And while we can get a few glimpses of this in the FFFs, this backoffice proces...

Also: They have committed to a release date. Now is not the time to look for ideas in the suggestions board. They are probably working through their ToDo list and won't change anything else unless they notice something big. Ideas will be revisited - later I have no expectation of a timetable or rel...

Re: The Blueprint Hub
[Koub] Is it possible to recenter this thread on just the poll/suggestion ? It's become mostly off topic. I apologize if the thread has digressed. To that end, I have and will do my best to keep the spotlight on the topic of an in-game blueprint hub, further urging everyone to think critically abou...

Re: The Blueprint Hub
Also, people can access from singleplayer OR multiplayer. I have no assumptions about the details of how this would work beyond that description, and also don't think that description needs to be how it would work. If you would like me to build the ideal blueprint hub, I can't. I hadn't given it an...

Re: The Blueprint Hub
Someone in a multiplayer game using blueprints to ruin the fun for other people is already incredibly easy for a person to do without an in-game blueprint hub. And an official bp hub would make it even easier and suggest to players that using bps from the hub instead of finding own solutions is the...

I trimmed the quote for brevity, but rest assured, I have read your message in its entirety and am doing my best to respond to your complete statement to the best of my understanding. Re: The Blueprint Hub
How exactly is the blueprint hub is supposed to help you connect with your friend through the game ? Excellent question, and, I feel, quite fundamental to our difference of opinion. Riddle me this: if my friend and my schedules don't align for us to play together, but I'd like to share a blueprint ...

Re: The Blueprint Hub
Please don't vote no just because someone wants to have fun in a different way with an accessibility feature. This will have a more widespread effect than you think. Sure, I can decide in my own one-player game not to use other people's blueprints. But in a multiplayer game, it's that much more lik...

Re: The Blueprint Hub
The larger point is that, sometimes, we can lose perspective on what we're trying to do in the long run, This i would say is true but can be used to argue for or against the proposition depending on the actual thing you are trying to achieve. So i'm not seeing your point with that. I do not appreci...

Truly an unassailable position. I will not desist, but I do recognize that I am not a member of the team.
Why have a suggestions board if the ideas you already have are the correct ones?

Re: Inserters: Why are filters getting baked in, but stacks are separated?
Now I mixed up the names, the new Stack inserter will have max 16 hand size, the bulk one will stay at 12. Name changes are confusing for everyone, and I appreciate your clarification. However, I believe hand size and the names of the inserters are of no direct consequence to my questions or sugges...

Re: Delay-line combinators
Compact signal delay has a solution here . I've used timers like that before, but that doesn't work for certain applications. Sometimes you need a proper delay line. Perhaps I am misunderstanding your suggestion. I thought you were asking for a compact method to introduce a signal delay, and the li...

When you don't have to overcome daily obstacles and annoyances, you become more and more lazy, until even the most basic things start to be huge pain in the ass, and you don't generally feel well, this is where I was. Don't you think providing blueprint hub in game would reduce the amount of daily ...

Re: The Blueprint Hub
Please don't vote no because someone wants to have fun in a different way with an accessibility feature. The poll is about if I would want the the game itself to support an offical blueprint sharing service. And my opinion is that is it shouldn't. Isn't that the goal of a poll? To gather people's o...
